Ive sent RockDoor customer service an email see if they can give me any info on fitters in my area etc.

I will hopefully be getting another quote through on friday (providing I can get day off work)

thats what i would have done for you customer service will just put you with the company who he prefers where as i know the owners and would have found you a reputable approved company who wouldnt of charged you the earth:(

I used this company for my doors - I was delighted with the service i got. I loved the fact that the price the see is the price you pay.

You call the national no & they will make an appt with a local door fitter, i also gave them details the door i wanted at this point. My appt was two days later, he then measured up & gave a me a choice of days for fitting. At this point also picked the choice of glass. 7 days later my new door was in. No hassle, no quibble.. ideal!!

Just reading that back - it sound like im on commission.,.. honestly im not lol Just really pleased with the service i recd.

BTW - i didnt actually get a rock door, just some other composite at £680 odd... and its solid, really good quality

I did notice them, but as I didnt find many recommendations online didnt spend too long on there (I didnt find any bad things either though)...

Looking through that site, the doors we chose were similar to some of the rock ones, and totalling up the cost on there for what we wanted (for similar doors) it is around the same sort of price (maybe a hundred or so in it)...

So maybe the original quote I got isnt too bad, although its not a rockdoor on the other quote...

I have been looking at doors, i think all this security door stuff is overplayed - brick through a back window is always easier than an on view front door! And that is before you get into windows left open etc etc - i doubt that the % of burglaries via front door being bashed in is very high (well i know to some degree)

With that in mind how do other doors like rehau and door stop compare in finish and general quality to a rock door?
