I need to know if anyone else has had this problem in the last 24-48 hours with itunes.
They have taken out of my bank account in 16 speperate transactions £20.00 my bank states they did this ever 10 seconds from around 9.25. they got 16 b4 my card was stopped and then proceed and failed to take a further 11 £20.00. now this has earmarked on my account my card has been stopped ect but my bank cant get involved for 14 days by law. I have contact apple who say you cant call itunes you can only email them, but the manager i spoke to was very helpful and sent the email for me. I tunes i have 24 hrs to respond they havent so i have proceeded to send a further email today.
Have you or are you suffering the same problem with them. Need advice. I have the general knowledge that itunes will have to sort this out as it is fraudulant on their part. but OMG this is a company were supposed to trust with our card details. why are they allowing this to happen.:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

I had that problem last summer. I cancelled my card and then got onto iTunes. iTunes are difficult to sort out though because the only contact you can have is through email. It took about a month but finally I got a refund and my iTunes account back up and running.0

Some else had similar problem last week on here0

no ive not used lush.co.uk ever.0

Someone hacked into my daughter's I-Tunes account and used her credit in the account (from a giftcard) to download tracks. In fairness to I-Tunes, they replied fairly promptly and offered a full refund. The matter was sorted out quickly.
However the fact that someone could get into her account and do this has put her off using I-Tunes in future.0 -
Itunes really need to get a grip on this, people post about this sort of thing all the time.
I have my itunes account linked to a visa electron card. If I want to buy anything from itunes I just move some money across, the rest of the time the card has about £1 on it, so the hackers are not going to get very far with that.I'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.0 -

This is a good idea. The same happened to my wife last year, and she doesn't have an account. As a matter of fact we didn't even know what itunes was back then. It's actually the bank that refunded her.0 -
happened to me too
luckily my bank seem to be aware and phoned me immediately (well an automated text to phone them)
asked if had i authorised a transaction on itunes
i hadnt, so they stopped my card immediately & refunded the money
there was a lot of people who it happened to on the lush thread on the grabbit board
i have never shopped with lush, so that didnt affect me
i googled to see if this was a regular problem with Apple/itunes
and it is massive and well known0 -
it's being reported in the tech press now about itunes fraud to UK users
http://www.theregister.co.uk/2011/01/25/itunes_gifting_scam/
and
http://www.engadget.com/2011/02/05/itunes-gifting-grifter-cleaning-out-british-bank-accounts/
how do prevent yourself being apart of the fraud?
simply remove your debit/credit card from your itunes account
- go do it now before it's too late0
