PAYG Mobile - Recommendations

Hello

I'm after a PAYG phone - I've found some decent handsets on the Tesco Value Mobile tarriff on their online site.

We're looking at the following handsets:

Sony Ericsson K310i Blue £39.97

Motorola V3 £59.97

Motorola Red SLVR £69.97

Motorola U6 PEBL £79.97

If anyone has any good/bad experiences of these handsets or any advice at all we'd be grateful. Also (of course) if seen anywhere cheaper please let us know, though the reason we're looking at tesco is the value tarriff which is 15p per min any mobile/landline anytime, and 5p texts :T

Virgin is also worth considering.

15p for first 5 minutes to landlines,then 5p a minute.

3p to own Network (until 31/3/2006)
15p x-net using 0844/0871 access number.

Texts x-net 10p. Own -net 3p.

FREE Voicemail.

Allows mms.

Can be used abroad.

The cheapest for cross net are T mobile 12p/min 10p/txt or tesco who do their extra value tariff for 15p/min cross net and 5p/txt, but you could get the normal tesco tariff which gives you 3 favourite number one of which could be 0844 so you can call all mobiles and landlines for 10p/min!!! Easymobile were good but now have 15p min charge plus minimum usage requirements so avoid them.

Can you use an 0844 number as one of your favourite number? anybody tried?

The following is what it says on website re fave no. terms & conditions:

3. Your three selected numbers must be either standard UK mobile or fixed-line numbers only. Calls and text messages (if applicable) to these selected numbers must be made in the UK to be valid for the half price benefit

Ive just this minute ordered a sony ericsson k310i on 02 from lx direct using a £25 off code from ukhotdeals total cost £37.50 just received in my confirmation email, ive stuck with 02 purely because I only put a tenner on a month and for that I get 300 free texts plus a few extra credit bonuses every cpl of months

Well, thought about this for a while then decided to post, MANNERS!! i got a pm after my post and asked for the £25 code, which i gave immediately, is it me or what, no thankyou no acknowledgement, nothing! I bring my kids up with manners and am constatntly praised for how polite they are, it doesnt cost anything so very mse you know! Rant over!

I just bought K750i from great universal. £90 but you can pay over 20 weeks at 0% APR Or you can get it using vouchers at LxDirect for £65ish

Great phone, Mp3 player, Fm Radio, Video, 2.0mp Camera, Bluetooth etc etc
