Can I Make Payments From PayPal to ING Direct?

When I opened my PayPal account I added my current account details so that I could pay my eBay fees, I have now added my 'ING Direct' account number so I can transfer funds directly into my savings account, I had the option to verify this account in PayPal but didn't bother because I knew that PayPal couldn't debit this account, but technically there should be no reason for me to not be able to pay money into ING.

Despite this PayPal went ahead and tried to debit the account and of course the request was rejected and they then sent me a vague email telling me this, at this point I haven't actually tried to pay any money from PayPal into ING because if a payment bounces they can surcharge me, so I called PayPal to ask if this would work and they can't tell me if I can transfer funds directly from PayPal to my ING Direct account, they advised I called ING Direct, who said they didn't know if it would work or not either.

Has anyone here been successful in making a direct payment from their PayPal account to ING?

If you read the ING terms and conditions you will see that your ING account has to be linked to a personal current bank or building society account only. So in answer to your question - no.
