Hand Luggage Querie ??

Ive flown a few times lately and I know the law regarding size of Hand Luggage has changed .The last few flights people were taking small suitcases on as handluggage .The last time i flew we were delayed and were stuck in the airposrt 2 days !! all i had was my handbag on me .This time i would like to take a small cabin case onboard with a change of clothes and some toiletries on board. Ive looked at the maximum allowence but every airline is different on flight bag size . Im going to buy a small trolley case , has anybody ever been refused taking these on board as hand luggage ??

First check all the sizes on the airlines websites that you are likely to fly on and then pick the smallest size.

Don't forget to take a tape measure with you when you go out shopping to double check the sizes.

Some airlines have the card board box at the gate that your bag must fit in or it doesn't go on the plane and they charge you because it then has to be put in the hold.

Also take a set of scales to find the real weight of the bag.

And just to emphasise - the bag must fit into a box of the quoted dimensions, this will include anything that sticks out like handles or wheels, don't rely on the size the manufacturer claims it is.
