So that there was nothing left in it to refund you with.My TV is broken!

Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
Hmm, good point.
I suppose I was trying to be diplomatic and offer her another chance to refund me.
A dispute has been opened, and she's been leaving ridiculous messages, ie:
I have not refunded this person because she may have recieved the item and be making a false claim, there are many people who give ebay a bad name, and people making false claims are some of them.
GRR!!
Anyone know how long it takes to get a refund through ebay/paypal?
She has now sent me an email stating
' I do not want any further contact with this person(me)'
No sweetie.. of course you don't, because you have my money!!!

This is something that irritates me a bit and I know I come across a bit opionionated sometimes, and I've even had to edit my posts before now to calm down..but...why do sellers automatically think that buyers are scamming if they dare to suggest their item hasn't arrived? Are sellers really that unaware that items get lost, or are they so paranoid that they think everybody is out to get them? Personally I think if sellers *are* that paranoid then maybe they should avoid ebay as otherwise they will just end up a horribly frustrated person.
This seller is basically accusing you of theft, how dare she:mad:
The Royal Mail lose packages, they have admitted it on National TV. They also admit to having problems with internal theft, I have received compensation for that very reason, again admitted to in a letter. I can't believe that sellers are so sure they are being scammed that they don't look at the situation clearly and take a deep breath and deal with it. Maybe if you had a stream of feedback mentioning that you have claimed lost parcels she might be right to be worried, but as a buyer with good feedback why does she think you are a thief as opposed to thinking that RM have merely had something go astray?
Calming down now...I've sadly had to do two paypal claims recently (only one for ebay) and my resolution centre spiel suggested 10 days between me starting the chargeaback and a decision being made. In fact both my sellers paid up by day 4 to avoid the chargeback so I didn't have to persue the claim. Do keep an eye on your paypal acocunt though as I found that messages coming out from paypal were mega slow and sometimes took an extra day to reach my inbox.
Good luck!

I must say I have not taken part in this thread, because I was so appauled by your lucky find of a seller. And constructive help is what you needed, not ramblings.
Soo, you have every right to be  , I'm sure it's perfectly normal for someone who deals with these problems all the time
.
I was accused of theft once by a seller, in many an email. Took me months to stop being angry (paypal went wrong with the claim and I had to take my frustrations out on the RM).
So Minxz, hang in there, I wish you a good outcome, and don't take the seller to heart, she must have had some bad experiences - she sounds extremely defensive.:wall:0 -
Thanks Agu

I have good news, she got fed up of the dispute and i have a paypal refund.. oh yay!
At last.. now i can buy baby a new toy

Thank you all for your advice

Good news, well done. You should have been refunded after the 15 day time limit was up for delivery, its down to the seller to wait for RM to reimburse them.:T0

not at all. The buyer is not at all reliant on the RM claim, only the seller is. The seller should have refunded as soon as it was obvious that item was lost, I normally try and stall into the second week at least.
The RM claim is for the seller to recoup their loss, it can't be started until 15 working days after posting and can take another 3 weeks for the money to be repaid, well out of time for the buyer to do a chargeback.
As a buyer I have actually been very patient in the past with sellers, however the moment a seller suggested I would have to wait for them to claim first would trigger me to start a chargeback as it shows they don't fully understand their responsibility.

Now you can leave her negative feedback to warn other buyers. Don't worry if she give you negative feedback, what you type on the feedback & vice versa will let others decide who is stroppy!!! I'm a buyer & I like to leave negative feedback to seller like her!!! unfriendly & !!!!!y!!! just to warn others.
Negative feedback so what.... as long as I paid all my bids I don't really care as it means nothing to me.... Paypal ... I hate paypal .. oh yes, I paid via paypal but when I sell something I don't deal with paypal!!!0
