Thanks for that Kazza, I don't use Barclays but I often do a transfer to my monthly savers before the first so that they get there on the first. Is there a way that we can tell from the Sort Code, who BSs bank through?

When I input standing order details into my Coventry First account it tells me the name of the clearing bank, which is really useful to know. Without this info I could unintentionally breach the T&C's of a regular saver by having two payments arrive in a month, as like you, I also send my payments so that they arrive on the 1st of the month or as close to it as possible.

Afahmaep, many thanks for the link.
