I made the cheque payable to myself followed by ',Principality Building Society'.
For postal applications they require three separate forms of ID, one of which must verify your name.
For name verification, I sent my latest Inland Revenue Notice of Coding document.
For address, you can send:
- a utility bill less than three months old (gas, water, electricity, telephone - but not mobile telephone).
- Original bank, BS, credit card or credit union statement (dated within the last three months).
- Original mortgage statement (dated within the last 12 months).
- Typed or printed original letter from any Government dept.
- Local authority/housing association rent card or tenancy agreement.
- Solicitor's letter confirming completion of house purchase or land registration together with proof of previous address.
When you request an application form, they will send you a leaflet called 'Identification: What we need from you'. It details all the documents they will accept. Please call me 'Kazza'.0 -
OK thanks for your help will give it a bash rather hard to find 3 forms of ID that are current but will send my application of and see what happens thankyou0

The sort code is: 20-18-15.
For the account number specify: 90653535
Input your 9-digit Principality RS account number into the reference box when creating your standing order.
EDIT: If you are funding this regular saver from a Barclays current account then set the SO date no earlier than the 1st of any given month. Principality use Barclays as their clearing bank so deposits arrive the same day they are sent. Please call me 'Kazza'.0 -
Thanks for youre prompt response, Im a tad surprised there hasnt been more discussion on this offering with a 6.5% interest rate.:T who else is in the Barclays remit0

I really hate it when people like me are too lazy to find the info themselves, but I'm doing it now.
As their website says to apply via a branch, how do you do a postal application ?Karma is a wonderful thing.0 -
Hi you can ring them up (0845 0450 452) and they will send out a postal application0

Their original Regular Saver Bond was 6.75% in 2005 and dropped to 6.0% for Regular Saver Bonds 2 and 3. This is Regular Savings Bond 4. The 6.0% was comparable with other Building Society offerings but most MSE discussion was centred on the Barclays and A&L offerings which were and still are much higher.
FWIW I got £166.75 interest on Reg Sav Bond 1 in April this year paying in the maximum £500 per month and have 3 more running at the 6.0% rate as part of my 'savings fountain' before Principality limited the number of Bonds to 1 per applicant.
Frustratingly I had to send in my I.D through the post for each and every application until I had been a member for more than 1 year, but now I can just refer to my Instant Access Account where matured funds are paid into before being withdrawn.Old Saying Once bitten twice shy

Thanks for that Kazza, I don't use Barclays but I often do a transfer to my monthly savers before the first so that they get there on the first. Is there a way that we can tell from the Sort Code, who BSs bank through?
Cheers
