Hi All
While applying for a loan last year I got put through to We Fight Any Claim. Had the usual speil about being able to claim back mis-sold PPI, and even though I was adamant I didn't take PPI out (never do) the guy said that the claim would probably still be valid as banks have been adding it on secrectly.
I was sucked in by the whole thing, and paid over £1200 upfront on a credit card.
That was beginning of July last year.
As the story of my claim goes, it went something like this (apparently):
1. Natwest did not respond within the 8 week period
2. WFAC extended the deadline by 2 weeks
3. Still no response from Natwest
4. WFAC send me a pack to fill in to start proceedings with the Financial Ombudsman (Oct)
5. I chase for an update early Jan and they tell me I should have an offer by 21st Jan
6. I call back today and they tell me they see nothing on their system about a Financial Ombudsman claim and they need to resend me another pack
Obviously now I am really annoyed. I have paid loads in credit card interest. So I look them up online...lo and behold, nothing but scam posts and wesbites.
So now I am royally panicking...
In the 7 months that have passed, I have not recorded any calls or anything. I have only ever received 3 letters from them which I still have.
I have drafted a letter to them asking them to cancel the services and refund in full as promised, but I am wondering what the best process is to get my money back.
I have thought about calling my credit card co, and asking them to reverse the transaction.
I looked into the Ministry Of Justice, and their Claims Management Regulator state that I have to wait a period of 8 weeks after I have officially complained.
What else can I do?

No you know why they are called "we fight any claim". Their tag line should include ...even if you dont have a valid complaint because we just want money from you.
Basically you have to go through the complaints process with them and then the MoJ if they dont respond as you want.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
