It shouldn't even matter if it does show up - I fail to see how a speeding ticket affects a teaching job when the CRB is about protecting children- they probably just won't ask you to drive the minibus lol.

I have 3 speeding tickets and an enchanced CRB as part of my job - they do NOT show up. I imagine it would only matter if you need a clean driving license as part of the job, or if like a div collegue of mine were caught speeding with a client in your car!!!

I can confirm that your speeding fine will definately not show up on your CRB certificate. The only thing which will automatically show up on your certificate will be any convictions which are held on a criminal record (PNC). It can be disclosed if the post applied for is something to do with driving eg School Driver. You only need to tell your potential employers if they ask you specifically if you have any points on your licence, otherwise there is no reason for you to tell them.
    Hope this helps.

If you were just issued with a fixed fine for speeding then it shouldn't show up. If you were actually charged by the police with speeding and were convicted of an offence, then it should show up on an Enhanced CRB check.

As Gina stated, convictions held on central records will be disclosed, along with any other information (approved information) that a Chief Constable deems relevant to your particular post (only a minority of cases and wouldn't really cover speeding, unless it was a particularly bad offence and your job would involve transporting children etc.)

I just received a Basic Disclosure Check (Scotland) in the post yesterday and can confirm that if a speeding case has gone to court it WILL show up on the check.
A fixed penalty notice WILL NOT.

I can't imagine that a speeding offence would be a barrier to any job other than a driving job, but then you would have disclosed that at application process.
    Well, I hope it won't be a problem....lol
