  • Hi I would recommend Bourjois Healthy Mix, I have oily t zone and always spots + acne scars on my chin (damn hormones) but this covers everything so well I don't need concealer and gives a matt finish, photographs well and lasts all day. I got married in December and spent ages researching all the expensive brands and trying them at the counters - mac, estee lauder, bobbi brown etc but in all honesty none of the matched up to my cheap bourjois. Revlon colourstay is another very longlasting good value one from what I've heard but as someone else mentioned get yourself onto makeupalley - all the beauty reviews and advice you'll ever need.

I have got Lancome Teinte Idole Silky Matt foundation. It's about £25 bu tit is very good and if you apply with a brush it last aaagggges. I use bareminerals day to day so that is very good too but I want a bit more coverage for W-day so will be using the Lancome, unless I get someone to do it for me but i haven't 100% decided on this :)

On friend's recommendations I bought this last week and I have to say it's worth the money, about £28 in Boots, but if you spend £29 you get a lovely gift. They did my full make up and it was very natural looking. I have tried lots of foundations and usually wear Clinique but think this is far superior. You could ask for a sample. When I got married my friend who trained in beauty therapy did my make up and did an excellent job, it lets you sit and relax for half an hour. Hope all the weddings go well!

I picked some of this up from Morrisons--on offer for £4.99.I wish I had picked up a couple more--its really great.Goes on easy and stays as well.My skin is combination but the greasy bits are really greasy--and this stays perfect for hours.:j
I might be crazy but I'm not stupid....
  • After reading this thread I thought I'd have a look on Boots at some of the recommendations & came across this, which has some recommendations for foundations/concealers/blushers etc for your wedding:

I currently use a Clinique one (can't remember which) - but it doesn't last on my skin at all. i'm learning that I need a primer so will find one of these for the big day!
