Same question as above to you :)

    How did people react?

    They didn't!

When I told or showed people what I was wearing they thought the shoes were fab because my flowers had hot pink in them too, my daughters bridesmaid dress was hot pink and the blokes all wore hot pink ties so it all tied in nicely.

It's got nothing to do with your Mum and sister, it's your wedding, and they're your feet, so it's you who chooses what shoes you are wearing!

How do you mean they have a coloured wedge though? (trying to picture them in my mind but can't :o)

Bright red shoes with polkadots on hopefully... if I can find any with heels I can actually walk in!

I remember you mentioning the Blue Louboutins, but I cant remember what colour your dress will be?
How have your family / friends reacted to you choosing a non traditional colour?
My Mum & Sister arent too keen on the idea of me wearing hot pink shoes with a coloured wedge... :(

My dress is 'light gold' so the gold trim (which was a complete accident when I chose them) actually compliments the dress really nicely as the gold on the shoes is very subtle and when I've got them next to the dress the gold really 'pops' IYKWIM!

My Mum was the one who encouraged me to get coloured shoes, she doesn't see the point in spending a fortune on ivory/white/cream/glittery shoes that I'll wear once so talked me into getting a pair that I could wear again and again (although I'll be so scared of ruining them that I don't know if I will!). OH's Mum has been pretty tight lipped about them though, I don't know if she approves of them or not!

I really like the idea of a bright shoe peeping out from under your dress, if you're wearing a long dress then they won't be on show all the time and it's a nice surprise when people get a glimpse. I think that if your shoes suit the dress i.e. are of a similar material and are relatively formal looking then they'll look lovely.

Thanks, I'm a bit miffed at my sis & Mum's response, though they're always going to want me to look "normal" :rotfl:

Here's the shoe (didn't want to post a massive pic)

The ARE going to stand out and not look bridal, so I see the family POV, but a lurve them! :o

Your mum sounds fab - can I borrow her?! ;)

Yeah, I like the colour flash.
The shoes (pic above) aren't exactly weddingy though, and would be a bit of a contrast to my dress style...

Oooh they are fab! I don't normally 'get' Irregular Choice shoes but I love them!

Have you chosen your dress? Do they go with it?

ETA: Crossed posts, but I still want to see your dress! ;)

Is your dress a proper wedding gown style dress?

I love the shoes you've picked, but I'm not sure whether they would go with a 'weddingy' wedding dress if you see what I mean? A quirky type wedding dress they would go great with.

My shoes were all one colour with a big 'rose' on the front in satin. Everyone wanted a peep of them, but as soon as we got to the venue they came off because they killed the balls of my feet with them being so high.

If you want to wear those shoes, go ahead and wear them! :D

I'm having my dress made by a friend, and it's going to be a combo of two styles; one Monsoon dress & one AA dress. It'll be a colum style but with a light chiffon / lace train.

Probably not a really bright shoe style!

RainbowDrops - they are cool! I want them! Don't go with anything in my colour scheme tho and I have to stick with flats for after I take the other shoes off!
Here's a pair similar to the ones I'll be wearing when I actually get married (so I can slide up and down the ice!) - although may try and talk OH into buying me a new pair for Christmas!

I totally get you actually, part of me is being stubborn, and I know they're not really matching, but part of me wants to rebel! :o
