Err, not quite.
OLD NO LONGER SUPPORTED versions of OS X is 16% so that doesn't come as much of a surprise. "Other OS X" is 3% but whilst that can include Snow Leopard, it is interesting to note that they don't specifically list 10.6.x. Maybe its because they don't sell an AV suite for it?
But they didn’t specifically list windows 7 does that mean anything? Yes it would be nice to get all the figures but hey thats not likely to happen
The fact is not everyone updates their operating system to the latest version, as shown by this a lot of people are still running the older versions, I also find it worrying that you say there isn’t a anti virus out for the latest version of OS X as no operating system is 100% immune
really this is more a case of trying to remind people they are not immune and taking into account the usual guesstimates on market share this actually shows a disproportionate amount of Mac users have virus's on their systems (or at least this particular virus) than you might think as Mac is generally only thought to have around 5% market share however in this analysis shows they totalled 16% of the infected machinesDrop a brand challenge
on a £100 shop you might on average get 70 items save
10p per product = £7 a week ~ £28 a month
20p per product = £14 a week ~ £56 a month
30p per product = £21 a week ~ £84 a month (or in other words one weeks shoping at the new price)0 -
Don't forget that the majority of Mac users run no AV. They get away with that because most malware is designed to infect Windows machines.0

Malware writers want their payload to spread. Why cut over 90% of your target off by designing it for a MAC? They may be irritating little barstewards, but they're not entirely stupid!I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the In My Home MoneySaving, Energy and Techie Stuff boards.
