Advice needed - i think i may be in trouble here

I would go with trying to get Ebay to remove the (already finished) listing. That way, the transaction will be void. Ring them up and explain that you thought it was for two, get them to read the listing.

If they don't, then if you are absolutely sure it was misleading, I would be inclined to ring the seller and tell them that I will refuse delivery. Pointless them sending it out for you to refuse it. That way, you can claim an INR if they don't play ball.

If the advert and picture says then you should get 2. If he posts it out to you you can do a SNAD.

i cant find a telephone number for them - any ideas?

You can get it from the ADVANCED tab next to the big long search box.

Make sure you have the item number copied into your mouse first.

Find contact information > enter user ID of member and item number. You will then get an email almost instantly, with their telephone number on.

EDIT - I presume you meant a phone number for the seller!

If not, the Ebay one can be found by going through the help pages, you need to do that as they give you a pin to verify who you are.

thank you, before i do anything like that, should i report to ebay first? im trying to loacate a telephone number for ebay but they dont make it easy! lol

I find the quickest way to get the Ebay pin.....

HELP - CONTACT US - in the box type TECHNICAL ISSUES - then the CALL US button comes up. You get the number along with a PIN.

Yes, I would ring Ebay first, get their take on the listing.

The auction is easy to find and it clearly states two laptops, gives details of both laptops and only right at the end do they put :Auction is for just one laptop if you want both then please contact me.

If that was not designed to confuse then I don't know what is. If ebay can just bother to look at the auction they should pull it and place a warning on sellers dashboard.

If OP gets stuck with this then I would seriously neg the seller, put 1* for item description and probably also communication as well.
