Many thanks OP - might just have to take this offer up!

Question - is there much in and around Calais for children? I'm not really interested in hypermarkets and shopping centres.

    TIA :)

You could tour the refugee camps.

Do Eurotunnel do a lot of offers? Mainly asking as we are looking to book them for a trip to France in July but would need it to cover a week?
    Fab offer, thanks OP.

    Historically, no.

They seem to be experimenting a bit to fill in dead periods but in the high season there is only one way to get your £49 each way fare.

Book the tickets well ahead and be prepared to be flexible in your crossing timings.

There are massive stretches of sandy beaches in Calais. There's always the aquarium Nausicaa 20km away in Boulogne. Info at Nausicaa.co.uk

Nausicaa is FAB, and at 5 euros per person it's a bargain! We did this trip in Feb last year. The kids loved it. Was my first Eurotunnel experience and was much better than the ferry we used later last year.

There's a small castle in Boulogne up in the old town.
