If the job is centered somewhere in West Africa you should go for it. They must be over run with oil dollars and dead Generals if my inbox is anything to go by0

More specifically, this is likely to be an example of the counterfeit cheque fraud.

If that's the real email address it may be wise to put a dummy one in: these are sometimes hacked addresses which belong to someone not involved in the scam."Every single person has at least one secret that would break your heart. If we could just remember this, I think there would be a lot more compassion and tolerance in the world."— Frank Warren0

I wonder if good ol' Frank was skimming the cream off the top of the pile or scraping the bottom of the barrel?.................

But....unfortunatly there are those that fall for it. I work for a large uniformed organisation recording crime and almost on a daily basis see reports from people who have fallen for these cons. A recent one left a middle aged lady out of pocket by over £150,000....yes 150 thousand. She sent amounts off every couple of weeks in order to get the money that she had won on the Spanish Lottery released. Although she didn't get her money back, 2 men have been arrested in Spain over this case.0

Well, I was emailed personally by Mr Kofi Annan of the United Nations, offering me $1,000,000 as compensation for being scammed. *smug look*
(Well, via his secretary I assume, Mrs Fatima Abacha, who appears to be borrowing someone called Senator Wilson's email account. In Hungary. Maybe hers was broke.)
All I have to do is contact some other bloke in Nigeria and get him to send me a cheque/international bank draft for the money, which is also apparently an ATM card.
And the best part? I've was never even scammed in the first place0 -

There are some horrific examples there, ie the 'hitman' version of the scam. Usually my opinion (OK, maybe a bit smug) is that victims of these scams tend to be naive and/or greedy but I don't even like to think about the terror caused by that particular version. Totally evil.
I've won the lottery numerous times which is amazing luck because I don't buy tickets.'Whatever you dream you can do, begin it. Boldness has genius, power and magic in it. Begin now.' Goethe

I have received similar job offers. I think they must have difficulty reading those few letters stamped on my forehead If you take it up I hope you will remember to let us know.0
