You really havent thought this through very well, have you?
Your argument seems to be that cash is the best investment currently because it can buy other assets which aren't cash.
There are no flies on you, are there?0 -
I don't understand why you're giving the OP such a hard time as he is obviously right.
Try buying gold or other real assets with goats or chickens or a picture of a train that you drew when you were seven or metaphysical concepts like a good vibe or an air of despondency and see how far you get. Clearly, cash is king.
Well said OP!0 -
i was just wondering what i had done to upset.....i was trying to work out if cash is actually an investment that has high purchasing power at this time in the economic cycle.---inflation is still low in the scheme of things in the uk --i live abroad and year on year it is 10pc annually so people hide in gold--i am considering exiting excess funds from the uk and putting it in gold which is easy to buy and sell abroad---it also eliminates a bit of currency fluctuations.mfw'11 No68- 55k mortgage İO--little to nothing saved! i must do better.0

Right . . NOW I get it.
So the basic thrust is that it's better to have money to buy things, than NOT have money.
Is that the argument?
I'm glad we've got that sorted out.0 -

Can you add some input to some of the Silver threads.
They need a bit of common sense knocked into them 'In nature, there are neither rewards nor punishments - there are Consequences.'0 -
