Is there any particular computer fair to avoid, perhaps in the NW area?

You may also find that these fairs often use the same keys repeatedly and they are known to MS, and they get banned quickly.

Is it true excel 2010 is dreadful?

Spoke to someone the other day, who has used excel extensively for years, and she said do not upgrade to 2010.

If all the comments are to be believed if you have used any version of Office before 2007 then the Ribbon is hard to get used to at first.

If you come to office 2007 without any prior experience you'll pick it up faster than you would a prior version of Office.

I thought it a steep learning curve but once used to it it's quite nice to use.

    I <3 Office 2010 :)

Takes getting used to but once you are it's very nice.
