Just had to have my cat PTS

Opened the back door to see if my cat wanted to come in and she was laying on the doormat paralysed miauwing like mad. Managed to get hold of emergency vet and got her in a box to take her to the surgery.

The vet checked her and thought she'd got a bloodclot on her spine, so gently suggested it would be the kindest thing to do.

I am so shocked...........my gorgeous girl is gone.

RIP Taz xXx

I'm so sorry to hear about your beautiful girl. What a dreadful shock and heartbreaking decision for you. It hurts so much when our furbabies leave us.

Thank you. Yes, it is. She was more like a dog...........I'd taught her to sit, wait for her dinner and she'd play fetch with her toys.

I'm so glad it didn't happen yesterday, as I was in B/ham at the MSE meet and left my 16 1/2 yr old on his own.

Just can't believe it at the moment.

Oh, Dundeedoll, so very sorry to hear about your loss.
Try to remember the millions of happy moments you enjoyed together, don't focus on the one moment of her leaving.

My little friend left in October and the above thought has really helped me to come to terms with it.
She passed away at home although she had been ill for some time.
I have never owned an animal before so losing my cat was a new experience and can honestly say it's in the top three of life's worst things but time does diminish the sense of loss and the pain.
    Hugs to you.

Dundeedoll I am so sorry for your loss. Take comfort in the fact that she is now at peace, and you did the best for her. I hope these words help a little xxxxx.

    Rainbow Bridge
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....
RIP TJ. You my be gone, but never forgotten. Always in our hearts xxx
He is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog.
You are his life, his love, his leader.
He will be yours, faithful and true, to the last beat of his heart.
You owe it to him to be worthy of such devotion.

    Oh Dundee :(

    Huge {{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}} from me xxx

When I got in the car home from the Meet, I was informed our Littlest Rabbit had passed on. The children were devastated. So I know exactly how you are feeling.
Sending heeling vibes your way x

    How old was she?

I can't access the pictures as that site is blocked from work, so I'll have a look at them when I get home.

    RIP Taz. xxxx
  • Oh dear. Such a shame.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.
