Thanks to all at FCC:T
I kept up with the lists last week but not with my updates or the fred.
Love, hugs and spoons to all those in need this week. I'm goning to need a lot myself. This week is a toughie for me, I have what should be lovely events mixed in with some really hard to deal with emotions
So here is how my week goes:
Monday - dh's birthday
Tuesday - 6 year anniversary of my Mums death
Friday - DD1 and DS1 birthday (Twins!!)
Saturday - DS2 Birthday and party
Sunday - DD1 birthday party (we did a party for DS1 yesturday)
The birth of my twins was quite tramatic and I have never really fully moved beyond their birthday reminding me that it was so nearly tragic as well as traumatic:( I was no where near being able to truly celebrate their birthday when DS2 came along 2 years and 1 day later. The circumstances of his birth, while no where near as dramatic as the twins, were not great either - we only had 3 days at home and he was admitted to hospital for a week, he ended up being on meds and on a schedule of hospital and dr tests for the first six months of his life. Then 4 days before his first birthday and 3 days before the twins third birthday my Mum died - so on their birthdays that year I was dealing with raw grief and trying to organise her funeral:(
I really do my best to celebrate my kids birthdays :j and I am sure they don't know the turmoil I go through but I've got to be honest and say its a sh*tty week for me coming up ......
Hope nobody minds me going on so much, thanks for listening if you got this far
I got this far..
My advice.. from someone who had post traumatic stress after 2 of the childrens births and terrible PND after a 3 of the others.. one coupled with my gran dying just week after one of them.. my advice is face it.. head on.. it is like a building falling on your head and smashing every raw nerve in your body but.. you come out the other side.
I promise you life is so much sweeter once you have let them go.. look at the beautiful things you have because your experience was as it was.. I have learned to be thankful my children only have the issues they do.. DS2 was seconds away from being a still birth.. that blessing I am thankful for every day of his life.. even the days I want to kill him.
But.. I am an emotionally !!!!!! shrew so can compartmentalise very well.. you have my ears, my shoulders and the whole of everyone on this board to support you and stand beside you sending hugs and love and virtual vodkas.. you can and will get through this week... I hope the childrens birthdays go well.. and can I just say.. 4 birthdays in one week is very bad planning!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

Evening all,
I'm so sorry about your MIL Grateful. massive hugs to you and your family.xx
I'm in, thanks to FCC.
I'm going to try my best this week. Upstairs got a good clean last week and downstairs this week so for once it's not looking too bad.
We've been playing move the furniture this weekend. I now have a nice big desk and am not cramped anymore and i have a massive bookcase to put all my stock in so it's no longer taking over my house.
My website and Ebay shop are finished and i sold my 1st thing from the shop today.:jI'll put it as my homepage if anyone wants a nose.
Ds2 is having problems with two boys punching him and pushing him over in school so i'm going to have a chat with the Teacher in the morning. Then i need to go and buy his Birthday presents and then get some work done. I'll squeeze some flying in somewhere i hope.

Hello, I'm in and have took the week off specially so thank you all. I'm saying week off but that's just no planned all day meetings and we all know what tends to happen on my weeks off. However the last week off flew over doing other stuff so I MUST get this house sorted to start my study calendar by the 5th of Feb.
(((hugs))) to Chunters and those others who need one right now. Wise words from piggers as always x My blessing is 12 now and most of the day he was born is now thankfully a blur and as I go to curse him for being a tike I, like pigpen, am just thankful he's here
Speaking of the tike, school meeting as soon as I get the boys off to school so will make a start when I get home as I'll no doubt feel delicate and other such things by then. Told DP this week everything must get done, so he's arranged to do some things so I can see ickle bits of friction when I become a demanding witch....
Oh to top it all off on my week off I got delayed posting this message as DP had to take 'the grandmother' to hospital as she's fell and hurt her arm, guess I'll be busy with her this week too then. His Dad won't phone ambulances unless someones dying so DP had to go take them.
Another week of fun fun fun..........*yawns* night night all x x
1 step it's been a while since I wore the mules but something that used to help previous flyers was a suggestion I made of timing yourself doing things. If you know how long it takes you might start it knowing you can finish it. Time yourself cleaning the TV unit, vacuuming, changing sheets etc. It's amazing how quick some things are to do that you would have put off. Before we moved I had about 10 minutes between school transport arriving and taking DS2 to school, I knew I could vacuum the whole of downstairs in that 10 minutes from hall, sitting room, dining room, conservatory, utility and conservatory. I've not done it for a while now but I used to have a list of little jobs and how long they took, useful for motivating others too.One day I might be more organised...........

Dear Lord, chunters that's a burdensome week. On the topic of birthdays so close together... a colleague (male, child-free and quite intelligent) told me I was ridiculously selfish having a baby due in March, as that meant it's birthday would be Christmas...
we females stared at him for a second, and then explained, no...if its born in March, its birthday will be in, er, March!!!
He hasn't lived it down yet. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0
