  • I'm in again this week :D Thanks to all at FCC:T

I kept up with the lists last week but not with my updates or the fred.

Love, hugs and spoons to all those in need this week. I'm goning to need a lot myself. This week is a toughie for me, I have what should be lovely events mixed in with some really hard to deal with emotions :(

So here is how my week goes:
    Monday - dh's birthday
Tuesday - 6 year anniversary of my Mums death :(
    Friday - DD1 and DS1 birthday (Twins!!)
Saturday - DS2 Birthday and party
Sunday - DD1 birthday party (we did a party for DS1 yesturday)

The birth of my twins was quite tramatic and I have never really fully moved beyond their birthday reminding me that it was so nearly tragic as well as traumatic:( I was no where near being able to truly celebrate their birthday when DS2 came along 2 years and 1 day later. The circumstances of his birth, while no where near as dramatic as the twins, were not great either - we only had 3 days at home and he was admitted to hospital for a week, he ended up being on meds and on a schedule of hospital and dr tests for the first six months of his life. Then 4 days before his first birthday and 3 days before the twins third birthday my Mum died - so on their birthdays that year I was dealing with raw grief and trying to organise her funeral:(

I really do my best to celebrate my kids birthdays :j and I am sure they don't know the turmoil I go through but I've got to be honest and say its a sh*tty week for me coming up ......

Hope nobody minds me going on so much, thanks for listening if you got this far :D

  • Sorry could not figure out how to do multiple quotes in one reply:D
I have decided that I will set my alarm clock half an hour earlier tomorrow and see what I can accomplish. If I can do that at least twice this week its an extra hour for me at the weekend!
I will also sort my meals for the next day (already done for tomorrow) and get my clothes ready. That will also save me time in the morning.

    1 step xxxxxxxxxx

I picked up these habits the first time I did flylady and they stuck with me - it has helped me a lot:j:j

    For newbies/those feeling swamped

yOUR HOUSE DIDN'T GET INTO A TIP IN A DAY OR EVEN A WEEK - IT WON'T TRANSFORM INTO A PLACE THAT QUICKLY EITHER but

    (sorry for dhouting)

everyone who live in your house can help(cept babies) - even toddlers can learn to put away;)
get rid of clutter- have only stuff you USE or LOVe - chuck out (or e bay) the carp get rid of stuff you don't use
have rules - eg clothes which aren't in the laundry basket don't get washed. Once they have run out a few times they'll learn
dot-to-dot - eventually the dots join up
    share out tasks -
(when I was younger and at home we ALL cleaned ALL the house on a Friday evening)

other people will ad sgae advice but in all seriousness learning to let go of clutter is marvellous and liberating
(Personally I have also found NOT having a man under my feet helps - but that's because I am an alien control freak (according to exH2))
EXACTLY HUN, rOME WASN'T BUILT IN A DAY :D
