1stepcloser - go and put your cleaning bits in the kitchen if they are not there already...although most peoples are :D !

Go round with a carrier bag and pick up anything lying around which can be binned

Go round with another bag and pick up anything that belongs in another room xx

    Cheers Jo!

    I'm not short - I'm condensed awesome! :p
  • Thanks to all at FCC. I'm in again though I think I'm just going to aim for level one this week.

Todays project has been a complete spring clean of dd1's bedroom - she keeps saying "I can't believe how big my room is Mummy". This has inspired me to tackle one room every weekend over the coming months.

We decorated our room over the New Year so 2 down already! The aim this year is to re-decorate the entire house by Christmas so a decent spring clean now should make this project easier.

Love, hugs, spoons and sticks to all as needed.

I'm in please! I started last week and managed level 1 or 2 most days (but not all!). But my philosophy is just to try to end the week with the house overall a little tidier/cleaner than it was at the beginning. And I think I've managed that! But it's frustrating having a tidy kitchen and then cooking and making it a right old mess (I'm not the tidiest cook!). And then I can't be bothered to clear up afterwards!

Oh well Rome wasn't built in a day - and the house is a little tidier, if that happens every week, it should be immaculate by Christmas! Bring it on!

Thanks to piggers, tootles and the rest of flylady central command for the threads. Just popping in again to say hello. Although I've not been posting, I have been flying.

I'm so glad you posted sexymouse. I was reading the thread and so many posters referred to FCC and I was wondering what on earth it could be! Thank you for explaining. :D

I'm in again this week. I didn't even manage level one last week but I think my house is better now than when I started. I'll get there eventually, lol!

I bought a new Dyson yesterday, a compact DC24. It will replace my aged DC01 that I have had for about 15 years! (It has lasted so long due to lack of use :o.) This means that, for a while at least, I am motivated to play with my new toy. I did my stairs yesterday to try it out and it is great. The lounge also had a good going over and it does hard floors so kitchen, utility and dining room will also get the treatment, either later tonight or tomorrow evening.

(((HUGS))) to those having a hard time of things at the moment, and thanks to the team at FCC for keeping us motivated.

:xmastree:Evening everyone, I'm popping my little head round the corner in the hope I can join this thread. I followed it as best I could last week and was amazed at the effect it had on my house. So, I'm really wanting to carry this on. I actually washed the sofa covers last week so I didn't realise what colour they were supposed to be

I'm a SAHM with a 16month old DS so it would be nice to have a tidy house so I can spend more time playing with my DS. :j

Good evening flyladies and gents. Slipped a bit this week due to sorting other things this last week. Not sure how much flying i am going to get done this week as sorting things still and a funeral on Tuesday. Might have to pinch a hug from flyers.
Will try and keep up with daily's and keep up with thread, even if i get left behind i will still skim and post. Thankyou again for this thread. Hugs to all who need them, sending extra hugs as i think they are needed xxx

    For newbies/those feeling swamped

yOUR HOUSE DIDN'T GET INTO A TIP IN A DAY OR EVEN A WEEK - IT WON'T TRANSFORM INTO A PLACE THAT QUICKLY EITHER but

    (sorry for dhouting)

everyone who live in your house can help(cept babies) - even toddlers can learn to put away;)
get rid of clutter- have only stuff you USE or LOVe - chuck out (or e bay) the carp get rid of stuff you don't use
have rules - eg clothes which aren't in the laundry basket don't get washed. Once they have run out a few times they'll learn
dot-to-dot - eventually the dots join up
    share out tasks -
(when I was younger and at home we ALL cleaned ALL the house on a Friday evening)

other people will ad sgae advice but in all seriousness learning to let go of clutter is marvellous and liberating
(Personally I have also found NOT having a man under my feet helps - but that's because I am an alien control freak (according to exH2))
Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY
