I never thought it would last forever Lil_me so I knew it would happen, I just hope she doesn't stop DS seeing Jacob that would really really upset him.. Hopefully she will like her 'time off' as much as I do and encourage DS to have him. I did just say to OH though I wonder how long it will be before she is pregnant with some other randomers baby.

List up for Friday now.. there is a 'compulsory' on there.. :p

    Evening all

Been a busy couple of days (as ever!) and been doing the work thing today so only very quickly skimmed the thread.

    Hugs all round.

Kazw sorry to hear diabetes as a confirmed diagnosis but glad you now know what you are dealing with.

DS will be home in five minutes and then it's a million clubs etc (why is everything on a Thursday?).

I ask myself that on a regular basis! BUT W will be 'swimming' up to cubs in the next week or so which will mean that we will regain part of Thursday evenings, to be replaced with Monday evening run! But that is not as bad as I am not at wotk on a Mon hence not the same dash around.

The Godfather is visiting this weekend so I won't get much time on here but I shall try to nip in tomorrow night.

Made lots of calls for various hospital/doctor's appointments today.
Have to call for physio, another one, plus book DD's paediatrics appt online tomorrow.

One bass lesson decluttered. Rescue me (Fontella Bass) and Night Boat to Cairo now on the list of tunes I can do
And bass tutor says he listens to the playlist (remember when you called it a mixtape? :D) of of songs to do next for pleasure. A compliment on my musical tastes if I ever heard one!

Left hand really hurts. Felt like it was seizing up, so went and did dinner for me & DD - chicken thighs cooked on hob then added to h/m tikka sauce, rice and naan bread in toaster. DD was delighted - when she finally turned up, having phoned at nearly 5 to say she was a friend's house doing some project work.

Upon further examination, the range of movement in my left hand is quite extensive. I suspect that the hypermobility is kicking me for reaching to get the larger intervals. Alternate rest, warmth and massage is probably what is needed. One of those infra red massage doobries is lurking somewhere upstairs. If I'm lucky, it didn't get decluttered to the loft. Then cut practice down to ten minutes every couple of hours, I suppose, as still need to build up strength and stamina for stage.

Looking at house now. I really need to do some vacuuming tomorrow. :(

Ugh. Wouldn't it be helpful to contact someone higher up the food chain - even to Archbishop/Cardinal level explaining that they are refusing her something that surely should be her right?

OK.Done a bit of surfing. Apologies for ignorance.

This came from a mass given by Pope John Paul II in England:

'Let us really accept the words of Jesus: “If anyone thirst, let him come to me and drink” (Io. 7, 37). Then we shall receive his gift: “Out of our hearts shall flow rivers of living water . . . Now he said this about the Spirit, which those who believed in him were to receive”. Then, in the power of the Spirit we shall become a people that prays: indeed, the Spirit himself will pray in us and for us (Cfr. Rom. 8, 26). And we shall become a holy people.'

This are other quote from a decree (or whatever it is called) specifically referring to infant baptism in 1980

At a Synod of African Bishops, St. Cyprian stated that "God's mercy and grace should not be refused to anyone born," and the Synod, recalling that "all human beings" are "equal," whatever be "their size or age," declared it lawful to baptize children "by the second or third day after their birth."

Later, the Council of Carthage in 418 condemned "whoever says that newborn infants should not be baptized," and it taught that, on account of the Church's "rule of faith" concerning original sin, "even babies, who are yet unable to commit any sin personally, are truly baptized for the forgiveness of sins, for the purpose of cleansing by rebirth what they have received by birth."

If the assurances given—for example, the choice of godparents who will take sincere care of the child, or the support of the community of the faithful—are sufficient, the priest cannot refuse to celebrate the sacrament without delay, as in the case of children of Christian families. If on the other hand they are insufficient, it will be prudent to delay Baptism. However the pastors should keep in contact with the parents so as to secure, if possible, the conditions required on their part for the celebration of the sacrament. If even this solution fails, it can be suggested, as a last recourse, that the child be enrolled in a catechumenate to be given when the child reaches school age.

I would have thought the number of brothers and sisters already baptised would be a good indication of you meeting the requirements, and to refuse is going against JPII's teaching.

Sorry if I've said anything sacrilegious, I really don't have a clue what I'm talking about :D

I've crossed off the "me time" already as I already know what I'm doing - I'm going out for a meal with colleagues tomorrow night (hence the clothes shopping :o) as we've survived 0Fsted & my birthday last week but couldn't afford to celebrate as no-one was getting paid until this week :rotfl::rotfl: It won't be hangover city though - I'm having one glass of wine then onto the lemonade/cola/juices. I've already picked what I want to eat - going to give goat a try as its different (I don't go out much so when I do I like to try and do something memorable!) and cheaper than a salad :rotfl:

    Morning All

DH woke me up at 3 because he was faffing about and then I couldn't go back to sleep. He finds out today whether he has got a job or not so this weekend may involve sorting out a new budget.

Mum looked after DS here yesterday so she could keep letting Jerry out as well - he seems fine now - so she did a few jobs for me.

Just going to get the rest of Jerry's bedding out of the WM and then get dressed. Might do some ironing depending on who's taking Jerry out.

    Have a good day all

    Hugs
