  • Hi all.

Well I got up early and tackled the ironing (go me!). When I got home I finished it AND changed the beds AND hoovered all the way through (except LR) AND mopped floors with my steam mop that I ignored for ages..................the mop not the floors. Also have dogs bedding in the wash.

I will get up early again tomorrow and make a start on the LR.

I suppose I should eat something but I really have no idea what..................

    take care all

    Evening all,

I'm a bit more chilled today. Just a bit :A

DH came home with a bunch of tulips and an indian takeaway to save me cooking. I can't complain.

I spent a lot of the afternoon at work sorting my list out (ssh) and then e-mailed it home, but it's got lost in the ether. I hope the e-mail police at work haven't got it :D

Anyway, I'm just doing dailies tonight, and a new list then I will be up and at em tomorrow.

    Way back on page 16.....

It's been that sort of week. DS1,2 and DD have been very supportive, and have kept the daily flying going, plus tidying and cleaning the ground floor.

I ws observed today as part of our depatment review, and was extremely happy with a judgment of Good with Outstanding. My HoD had it down as a solid Outstanding, which makes me feel even better, but the Dept Head argued her down over 1) not enough use of target language - well, I was in the compter room, and giving them very quick instructions about moving around safely to do their peer assessment. 2) I didn't show them an exemplar piece of work. There's no projector or screen in there, and I wanted them to use their imagination anyway... I'm still very happy with the result though! And the GTP was observed teaching her third lesson with my awkward Year 9 group, and she also got Satisfactory/Good. That's not bad going for her third day of teaching ever!

I am absolutely shattered, so just flitting in to say :hello:to all my flylady friends, and will be back tomorrow to do some real flying in the kitchen!

    Love and hugs.

Serena that is an amazing observation result, very well done. Pleased the kids are helping out too.

Not much flying to report but I did get the bits I intended to done (dusting of DS3's room and DH's office) and DS1 has changed his bed. Aiming low at the moment to avoid disappointment. House is quite tidy though and laundry upto date.

Traded in my fender for a new fire screen at the fireplace shop today and was very happy. We brought it from them 15 years ago for £75 and they gave me the full £42 against the screen. I'd tried selling it on ebay and at a car boot for much less with no joy and we really needed a new screen.

Also had a free cholesterol blood test at the supermarket and all levels very good.

I so need to do some paperwork so just going to have 10 minutes browsing on here and then see if I can do HHP before bed.

Maybe to give you some peace and quiet :D

(((hugs))) Kaz. I'm glad you now know what's up, and I'm sure you'll get the hang of it quickly.

Yesterday I managed to cook lots of pulses and make muesli during meetings as well as getting work done. This morning I have filled and set off the DW and been to the gym. Need to have a shower and then get some more logs in, empty and refill the DW and maybe put some washing on. Anything to keep me awake...

Greenbee that really made me laugh!:rotfl::rotfl:

Thanks to everyone for their kind words! OH came home at lunchtime.:T:T

He was kept in because they put him on IV antibiotics to reduce the risk of infection.... I think it was an interesting experience for him - one patient on the ward had broken something whilst out climbing - at 5am! Oh and he apparently hadn't eaten for two days! OH muttered something about feeling as though he was in the audience for a Jeremy Kyle show!

Tonight will be the first night all 9 of my children have slept in the same house :D.. and next week we are flat hunting for DS.. *sigh* the things I do!! DD1 is delighted though because she can stay here with DS1 for the weekend while the others are at KH's and we are at OH's mums.. I won't let her stay here on her own for the weekend... DS1 can also then have Jacob stay if he wants too.

I need to get the baby's washing in tonight.. and get Tiddles coat dry for the morning.
DW needs to go back on
Baby's bag packed for the weekend :D.. need to do mine though, and we are taking the jumperoo as well so that will need dismantling.

OH is upset.. the pig that was left from dinner tonight has been devoured by DS1.. he is a total carnivore, he hasn't eaten veg since he was a baby.

List will be up in a sec and I am away to do my knitting.

  • I think today's living room and the dining room are my two RoD's at the mo. It is impossible to do any cleaning in either as they are packed full of OH's gibble, recently transferred from storage elsewhere.

And I have stuff de cluttered from the attic (to create storage space for stuff from the gibble that will be kept, once sorted) waiting to be sorted into chuck/freecycle/charity shop.

So I have sorted one small pile from the attic 'to chuck' and put that in the bin. But that is about all I could achieve but better than nothing.
I also striped the bedding today and put in wash and is now hanging up to dry. We have just done our timed task of getting the clean bedding on: 7 mins:D

We have pink bra recycling bins in the city next to the green bottle banks etc and I recycled 3 to there today.

cycling yorkie - thanks for the ick warning on the post!! I avoided, but very glad to hear he is home and ok.

Hope you are feeling better today sockdrawer.

toots - I did read your lovely welcoming PM honest:o:D ..
Obviously need to read it again to see what else I didn't take on board...

Thanks for DS2s birthday wishes, he's now in double figures :( no going back. Oh I feel old, my 'baby' is 10. He's been to school and they sang happy birthday, he still hates his teacher *he's quite strict which I think is why, DS2 worries about doing wrong before he's done it* then home for his fave tea of sausages, beans, egg and toast.....easy pleased! Off to cubs and they sang happy birthday too.

Ended up instead of doing most of the housework helping DP with the new muddy car, as most on FB will have seen my cleaning skills have come in handy. The last time it was used off road it was driven through several rivers so it's.....moist.....the fact the sun visor screws had rusted shows what it was like. Resorted to vaxing the water out of the floor when cleaning, worked a treat so we could get all the mud out of that side. We've got the back seats which are vile out, they need to dry out a bit then vax those. Just passenger side to remove the seat and drag the carpet out of then the back to clean through. It's there to get muddy and wet but need the smell of the river out first.

Anyway thanks to being covered in muddy stuff all day I've managed to do only a small amount of housework. I managed to do get DW, WM, TD etc on in between the work I was doing. DPs brother needed his iPod sorting so made use of him in helping to get the airhockey table that was broken downstairs/out. Opened the new one grrrrr that was broken too!!! So both are going back and refund requested. So I'll be looking for a replacement present for the boys, they're too disappointed to risk getting another table now.

Soooooooo I'm left with tomorrow to get something done in this house.....I knew that was going to happen didn't I ?

((hugs)) for you all. Pigpen I know it's not the nicest situation with things not working out for DS1 but I bet it's nice all the same to have all your babies home x
One day I might be more organised...........
