  • Hi All - well the week is rattling by here. I decided last week that my exercise/walk should be done first before house because I kept getting distracted and leaving it too late to go out for long. So Monday I went out straight after breakfast and upped it to 5 miles. I was quite chuffed to make it (hills involved) and was pretty fast. However, I sat down and just felt sleepy so apart from washing/cooking did nothing til the evening when I emptied my wardrobe and sorted it out. Lots of stuff that I want to fit into again (none of it valuable, just nice:D) - we live in hope:)... Tuesday, I was shattered and didn't do much of anything at all apart from washing. Yesterday, everyone was out for a change, so I blitzed the lists and changed sheets, remade the beds - even washed my hair (which involves 3 dripping wigs hanging round the living room). My nails were wrecked in the process, so had to cut them - how do people have long, manicured nails and do their own housework?!? All this because, today, I am going out :j (it's been a while!) Before I do, I am going to clean out the oven  Just hope I can keep the energy up all day - couldn't sleep last night for ages - just wide awake for no good reason - maybe I really am that excited :p

Monday ~ Kitchen, Utility and Dining areas :)
    Tuesday ~ Bathroom & Toilet :)
    Wednesday ~ Study and bathroom/wc :)
Thursday ~ Living/Family/Reception room :) Have worked round the pile of guitars and stuff that's in there til the rest of the office is decluttered.

Nooo.... then they'll just make more baby spiders

We had ivy on the house when we first moves in here, on a kitchen 'extension' (well they knocked through into the coal place) and I used to have MILLIONS of baby spiders webbing away in my kitchen. They could only make little webs so my notice board was very popular.
Ripeed down the ivy - spiders are a thing of the past. Funnily enough the former lady of the house HATED spiders too

Anyway while other flyers were flying in North derbyshire so was I and I have a sparkly clean bathroom and a clean car. The car was in dire need as I last washed it the day befores a foot-and-a-half of snow was dumped on us.

Chewed the fat with my mum who has brought me the results of phase one of loft clear to e bay. She has been watching bargain hunt so SOME items were removed cos she thinks they're valuable;)

Unscheduled floor mopping session in the kitchen this morning - I did say to DH yesterday that I thought the WM was leaking - but because the puddle was in front of the sink not the WM the source was not found. This morning he informed me he was just off to work and that water was pouring out of the kitchen cupboard. And boy, doesn't water just spread!

It's coming back out of the thingy where the hose pipe sits in the pipe to the outside (you can tell I'm technical, can't you), so joy of joys, tonight I will have to peer at it and try to work out if it's blocked (presumably) and if so how to unblock it. And clean out the kitchen cupboard. It's either that or wait until Monday which is the first chance DH will have to look at it. :(

Managed to get all my charity stuff (for now) - including rags, deposited at appropriate shops. Just have two bundles of duvets in the back of the car to offload at the homeless place this afternoon on my way home. Then I need to create more filled bags. :T

Trying to decide "what" to do this weekend. A choice of returning to RoD #1 or doing some dot to dots. If someone had said a month ago I'd be planning such things for the weekend I would have been :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Hi all.
Nattyt Do housework in shoes? ROFPMSL I should think not! I don't wear anything on my feet at home, and if the weather's warm enough, not when I go out, either (can get away with this in a wheelchair).;)

Cyclingyorkie ouchy-ouch; poor OH; that sounds extremely unpleasant I hope his poor thumb isn't too 'orribly painful. I must admit, I don't much care for the sound of "something he hasn't told you". :((((HUGS))) and posi-vibes.

I'm doing fairly well today (probably because I did some of the lounge tasks yesterday);) and will try and get ahead with the bedroom in a bit, on the assumption that it'll be tomorrow's room. I also dusted what I could get to in the [STRIKE]temporary toolshed[/STRIKE] spare room, while I had the duster-onna-stick in my hand.;)

Dilly Doglet is due to arrive some time between 09:30 and 10:00 tomorrow morning, so I don't anticipate getting much housework done between then and Sunday evening, when she goes home.:D

New bathroom door has been picked up off the kitchen floor and is leaning against the wall, pending being hung tonight, so I can move freely around the kitchen again.:D

    Level One
Declutter and vacuum floor! Done by Mr LW
Wipe sticky grubby marks from sofas Done
    Level Two
Wipe sticky grubby marks from walls and paintwork Done
Vacuum under furniture you can safely move.. Done by Mr LW
Wash any smelly soft furnishings (this may include pets and OH's) Deferred til doors all finished. Although I did wash OH this morning......:rotfl:
    Level Three
    Clear and wipe firesurround.. Done
Decant all the miscellaneous papers and bits into a box N/A; I try to get everything put away as it appears. There's a wee tray of filing in the spare room, but only because the remaining door (which is actually for the spare room) is blocking access to the files.
Polish any glass.. screens, pictures, ornaments mirrors etc
    Extras

    1. Wipe and water any plants N/A
    2. Vacuum fluff from the fire and behind the radiator Done
    3. Sort through the box of miscellaneous belongings N/A – there isn't one!
    4. Binbag dance
