Avon - is it worth it?

I have done AVON for almost 10 years. It has been a great little money earner. However I will say
a) Avon mess up the orders
b) There is a fair bit of work AT FIRST
c) The moneys not easy to follow
d) The area reps are pushy so ignore them and do what you want!
I have totally cut my round to just include people who are ORGANISED, not people who order, but the people who leave the book out for me, or have it ready when i call the first time NOT the 3rd time!
The best people to get orders from are people who take the book into work for you...
I really do think it can be a great money spinner, IF you are willing to put the effort in initially, Ive got the round down to a fine art now, and spend probably 8-10 hrs max a month, and ive got a fairly big round.
If you want any more info PM me!!

Hi - Jamtart - couldn't agree more, the most trouble I have is withthe orders - I swear there was a box missing last time. Like most things in life, the key is in the preparation in those first three months, I started before Xmas one year and blitzed the area - consquently I have a data base of about 70 customers but I don't go to them all every time. I also let my books work 2 campaigns if they have good offers on or if I am after a sales boost.
I do my Avon "round" in 4 hours - an hour delivering, about an hour collecting and an hour ordering, then an hour sorting / preparing orders when it arrives. 4 hours for £60 to £100, 18 times a year. That's £1000 - £1500 per year, I use it for holidays. I am in 4 work places and that is easy as apart from a few nudges to people who hang on to the book, that does itself. I have worked my way on to a new street locally so I will give that an hour this time using the previous campaign books and offering a 10% discount to new customers - if there is no uptake, I shan't bother again until the sale books come out.
