Have you ever thought of selling peoples ebay bits for them that havent the time to sell them? These people are called trading assistants theres a page of inof on them on Ebay.
I used to have one. I piad the fees etc and she took a share of the profits. This worked very well for us and she could do the listings to suit herself at a time good for her. There is a strong trust requirement but you can look on ebay yourself to see how much things have sold for
Good luckx
Oh what a fab idea. Yep we do have a decent digital camera - will look into that!Official DFW Nerd Club Member No: 286

avon never sent the right stuff or didn't send enough stuff,
then stupidly I gave a customer some goods before she has paid as I always had done with her but she found out I was leaving and decided not to pay me the £100 she owes me-I am still payin avon now and it has gone against me on my credit score, they are also very rude when I ring up to make a payment!
I also worked for ann summers and found I made quite enough (£100 a party)
but beware....you have to pay £3.50 a week for your £500 kit that they send you, and if you miss a payment they cancel your order!
good luck whatever you choose.
Re the payments, Ann Summers did get me into debt, because sometimes I had 4 parties a week and would have to pay upfront for the orders (sometimes up to £1000) and I'd put it on the credit card and then not pay it off.
Virgin Vie have a Christmas offer for reps and also a virgin angel thing which is similar to AVON.

I do Avon and make £60 - £70 for about 4 hours work every 3 weeks - if I put more in I get more out, like Xmas. Over 18 campaigns per year that really mounts up. You can make more if you want. The first 2 months they charge £7.50 for your brochures till you get established then you buy as many as you need (I buy 40 for £8.00). I have a decent patch, people love the stuff, I have customers who buy £50 worth at a time and about 1/3 of them buy at that level each time. I am also in 4 workplaces, which helps as I don't have to trawl the streets. So - for me I get about £1000 pa out of it which covers my holiday - so in that respect it is worth it to me. I thought about Virgin Vie but my market research left me with the perception that people think it is expensive and also it is more party plan and I am not in to that way of selling.
If you have the time to set it up properly in the first 3 months - to get your customers and do the leg work distributing the brochures - you will be set up after that and be able to do a decent round in about 4 hours each campaign.

I used to do Kleeneze which is similar in the rspect that it's door to door selling. The amount of time I spent trawling the streets collecting and dropping off catalogues, delivering goods and collecting payments was in my opinion, not worht the comission you got off an order. Although plenty of people I know, can and have made mega bucks!!! Its all a chain game really. The best money comes when you 'recruit' other people to join you as you make money from their sales aswell.
Personally, I got a bit peeved with the people who left their catalogues in the rain or through them in the bin!!! They cost loads!!!Made it - 15 years married!! Finally!! xx:beer:0 -

I'd say avoid it, you will make more from mystery shopping etc...

Mystery shopping does not pay enough! In fact it pays remarkably little.0 -
It's not great I know, but you really need to put in the hours with Avon then it's a hassle getting all the money in etc... With mystery shopping it's relatively hassle free and can be done within an hour or so.
I'm just talking through experience and I have mates who gave it their best shot and binned it too.

I currently work for Ann Summers...I did bar work before but it was pretty rubbish pay and needed to find something to boost my income! I currently work full-time and do AS 2-3 nights a week, suits me as it's flexible. I've been with them just over 6 months and I'll be promoted to a Unit Organiser this month - just means I have to co-ordinate myself as well as my own team!! Plus I earn 5% on all their bankings..about £200 a month ish.
In terms or earning potential I make about £80-£100 a party. There are no start up costs, just the £3.50 a week kit rental (kit is worth £500) until you've made £1,200 in sales, like the lady previously said it doesn't take long to acheive this. I really love working for AS, it's flexible, good fun and it's helping me to clear my debts and not rely on CCs and my overdraft anymore. If you want more info please PM me.
