hi
ive just signed up with O2 from sky for phone and broadband and its about to go live in a few days, however even though i knew about the TM i thought that would be for heavy users.
now it seams even though i could get 17meg speeds i will never see that plus will never get the chance to download 100gb given the current climate.
my other options at exchange are BE or Walk Walk though im thinking about virgin.
will i have any problems canceling and transfering
regards

Hi
Based on personal experience, I would very strongly recommend caution about moving to an O2 contract for home phone/broadband.
I was a mobile customer for years both personally and for business but ever since I moved my home phone and line rental (following an earlier move to their broadband) I have had nothing but trouble.
Their service is appalling. If you do decide to go with them I'd really recommend getting any promises/commitments in writing because they conveniently 'mislay' the recorded calls when you have to challenge them because they don't deliver on their promises.
Just my experience but I hope that it helps.0 -
Why would you imagine you would get a faster connection merely by changing ISPs.
Assuming you were on Sky LLU then you would have unlimited downloads. That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -

assumed wrong, on basic sky which was £17 and for all my moaning at them about their speed (was getting no more than 3meg) and them saying theres nothing they can do, i with help on here fixed my speed which i get 8meg now. the irony is i fixed it on the day i decided i was leaving them, but wasnt giving them £17 as theres cheaper alternatives.

I am currently with O2 broadband and I would recommend them. I am in a very bad broadband area were my speeds are about 1MBs.
I haven't had any problems with there service.0 -
Thats me just cancelled O2 broadband and home phone.
now the choice is between BE broadband or virgin cable.

Be is owned and run by O2 over their LLU network, so the speeds won't be any different to O2 LLU.No free lunch, and no free laptop0

BE down traffic manage though so you get the speed ya line syncs at, i was with o2 now moving to sky LLU and its been activated but no router so cant connect. BE is prob the best adsl2 provider if ya pay there prices, Sky LLU if its in your area is the next stage.0

Yes BE is the one to go for if you don't want traffic managment. In Progress!!!0
