I phoned the number I found on the leaflet that came with the card " Your new MBNA card". There's a section on page 2 about redeeming pulsebeats: 08700362444.
First coupla times I phoned they said "It can take up to 28 days" to which I refrained from replying" yes...that's UP to not MINIMUM of 28 days! (very controlled of me I thought!)

I think they actually said I had 8,300+ points, but I assumed that was cos of the £6.50ish spend I made.

Anyway, the nice lady agent talked me thru the website to verify which MP3 player I wanted (Couldn't find the pulsebeat catalogue link for a bout 5 minutes...numpty!:rolleyes:) and said it would be here in UP TO 28 days:j

P.S. Not had any kind of pulsebeat statement yet, just thought I'd keep bugging 'em til they showed up on their system

Yeah - my first statement just arrived with only 2000 bonus pulsebeats... the MBNA 24*365 number keeps cutting me off and the Sony number on this thread is only Mon-Fri

Try again Monday I suppose.

As mentioned on other sonycard thread, MBNA add 2000 points onto your account as soon as you make your first spending, but it is SONY who add the additional 6200 points, little point chasing MBNA for the extra points as all they can do is ask SONY what's going on .... cut out the middle man and ring SONY direct!

I got a welcome letter from Sony and it says you can redeem your 8,200 points immediately you spend on the card. So a week after my first spend I rang Sony up and they said "sorry but mbna have only put 2000 points on your card" Sony admitted it was a mistake but said that due to the data regulations they couldnt get hold of MBNA to tell them.

I asked to speak to a supervisor and she told me she didnt know when the extra points would be put onto my card and I wouldnt be able to claim until they had. In all I spent 16 minutes argueing the toss with Sony and its an 0870 number so they've got a take of the call which I dont know the cost of.

I rang MBNA (0800 number luckily) who said they couldnt do anything until told by Sony.!

I got this card after hearing about it on this site - hope Martin or someone can sort it out for us

I had a similar situation to other posters on here - 2000 points show on statement plus 25 for the spending I did. Phoned Sony on the number given (08700362444) and they stated that the extra 6200 were already showing on their system, just not showing on my statement.
So I then 'spent' the points on a personal radio (7200 points) and a Cd (1000 points) which together would have cost in the region of £56 from Amazon.
So, don't worry about the points, it seems to be a bit of a strange system that Sony/MBNA have, but it's still a great freeby.
