    Returns are £425 - £450 plus taxes.

    Hi Donnie

That sounds reasonable. Where do you get these prices from?

I live in West London - there's a very large Aussie community here. As with all flights - go to where there's lots of people from that country and there are specialist agents. For example it's also very cheap round here to get a flight to the Carribbean as there's a large number of people of that ethnicity.

If you don't live near thing of a relevant area and try and get a travel agent with a name that sounds like it. E.g Aus Travel type thing.

I've always found the best price comes from one of:

    http://www.majortravel.co.uk

    http:/www.airnet.co.uk

    https//www.ebookers.com

Also look into flying into a smaller airport - we are saving £600 flying into Grand Rapids instead of Chicago for our holiday this summer.

As there are four of us, any money saving tips are most appreciated.

No other Aussie's around here that I know of, apart from hubby
and his cousin and he is going back to Oz for good this year.

Thanks for the replies, have noted for future ref.

I have just received an email from Travelbag, they are starting some specials tomorrow, and will be advertising on the web and in the papers.
    Have a good trip. 8)

Word of warning about travelbag though - they're so disorganised, we've just nearly lost our deposit and flights because they can't seem to co-ordinate a payment. >:( have had so much unnecessary hassle over the last few days, if I were you i'd go elsewhere.

one tip though, we got quotes from places then rang somewhere else asking if they could beat it - got us an extra £400 off in the end! :D so i guess if they finally get their act together may have paid off in the end :-/

https://www.dialaflight.co.uk might also be worth a try, they also came up with a good offer for us!
