Cheapest place for flights to Australia

Does anyone have any good tips for where I can buy the cheapest/best value one way flights to Australia? Also if anyone has done the trip with children (mine are 7 and 9) any tips on best stopover options?

Thanks in advance and anticipation!

I went with STA travel in the Feb last year and it cost approx £900 per person but that included 5 stopovers. I would give them a try they have some good deals.

    Hi,

I have been to Australia twice both times I used Trailfinders and got a good deal flying with Japanese Airlines - only £600PP and that was an open ended return. Stopover is Japan for one night, so it all depends if you wanted to have more stopovers and make more of a trip of the journey. Hope this is of use. :)

Current prices are £350 inc of taxes, one way with a top class airline such as Cathay Pacific. HK is good for a stopover of a day or two.
Air New Zealand comes in at the same price, via Auckland.

    Returns are £425 - £450 plus taxes.

If you would like more ideas for stopovers, you should come back with more details. ie; Approx. date of travel, preferences etc

    Hi,
I'm looking at flying to Auckland or Christchurch in August. Would it be cheaper to get more stopovers, or an itinery?

    M Harries,

perhaps you should have started a new topic for "cheap flights to NZ" but me and the missus are going to NZ in October. We have bought a ticket from Travelbag and cost us £1281 with stopovers in San Francisco and Hong Kong aswell as internal flights between Auckland and Christchurch, flying with BA and Qantas. More stopovers were possible but not enough time off work! There are other tickets like this available https://www.thegreatescapade.com or try https://www.qantas.co.uk

These will not be the cheapest!

Best deals for both Oz and NZ I've found with Travelbag and Trailfinders. I've used them for both recently and not only are they competitive, but all their sales representatives are fully knowledgeable in the destinations.

I went to Australia a couple of years ago, and got flights from https://www.ozflights.co.uk.

Quite a small company but very good prices.

Not sure about one way, but return flights for £500-£600.
