Odyssey Parking BE WARNED

  • It would be nice if everyone could park between lines and be careful beside other people's cars but as that only happens in dream-land I can see how fines can have a benefit as well as being a negative. £100 is excessive though.

I do support what the OP does. As long as it's not in a way that blocks or restricts access around the carpark for other users I don't see what the problem is. It's those people who park on the end of a row when there isn't a space there that really annoy me; the Cityside carpark is a nightmare at peak times because of this.

Young or old, BMW or Reliant Robin, there are bad parkers everywhere.

Everyone just needs to have some consideration for others and that's something I see less and less these days.
  • At the end of the day there are signs all over the car park saying that if you take two spaces or park in a disabled space without a a badge then you will get a ticket i know 100 pound is abit deer but if you give people a 10 pound fine then they will keep doing it that's why the fine is so big and there is no need to park over two spaces so why do it, if the odyssey didn't does this then people like yourselves will complain about people taking up two spaces and parking in disabled bays without a badge so the odyssey cant win either way if you stick by the rules then you wont have anything to complain about, use just bring onto yourselves.

Thats one of the longest one sentence rants i've heard in a while :rotfl:.

I think you need to read the original post more carefully. The OP didn't park over 2 spaces or in a disabled space so your long winded post has no bearing at all on what happened.

As I mentioned several times, my reason (although I can't answer for anyone else) is because in the past I have spent my hard-earned cash having my car repaired, due to various dents courtesy of people who didn't care if they damaged someone else's car. I'm not looking to restart this discussion, just explaining my reason.

sorry what i should have said is that if your not parked in a bay aswell then u will get a ticket, so if you dont want a ticket then park within the two lines and also i was just saying what the signs were saying for when people do take up to spaces or in a disabled space so dont be a smart !!!.

The only thing I was being smart about was getting to the end of your post without topping myself. After reading your slightly less long winded post above, I can see that you were trying to give off about something else but as my crystal ball is away being mended, I was unaware of this.

Believe it or not, this is generally a friendly forum but using your first post to have a go at someone because you didn't read their post correctly isn't a good start. To make it worse you then use your 2nd post to try and belittle me for not being a mind reader.

    I rest my case.

Doesn't matter if it was my 1st post or my 50th whats that got to do with anything? All i was saying was if you read the signs (which most people don't) and stick by the rules then you won't have anything to moan about, we all don't like to get a ticket for £100 but thats life you won't do it again will you?

I won't do what again? Nobody got a ticket and I certainly wasn't the one who was threatened with it. Again, if you read posts properly you'd know this. As for parking, I'd be amazed if the Odyssey has a specific rule about parking between lines.

Oh and as for your post count .... it has a lot to do with it. If you use your very first post on a forum to spout off the way you did then you'll soon find that no-one has any time for you. I do hope your only reason for coming on here was to post belittling remarks and not to ask for advice as I can't see you getting much of the latter.
