This is a lot more common in pregnancy than you think. There's lots of ladies who have terrible nightmares when pregnant. I've not had any that I remember, but I did wake up screaming (and I mean screaming) twice earlier on in the pregnancy as I thought someone was in our bedroom standing over me. I swear I almost had a heart attack, as did hubby :rotfl:
I keep having the exact same dream, and I wake up screaming  mad.The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -
Good luck today Lucy, hope baby is well behaved! I have my third attempt at my scan this Thursday, I'm hoping baby has moved or I'm off to see a consultant.
I had to go into hospital last night and got myself very worked up! I've been feeling very strong movements for the past 2 weeks, especially in the evenings when I sit down, but yesterday I felt nothing at all. I called the midwife at 8.00pm and she told me to gulp a cold drink and lie down and concentrate on baby, did this, but sill nothing. I called back and they asked me to come in so they could have a listen. I was really worked up by now and cried all the way to the hospital, my poor hubby was in a state as well. I got there and they listened to the heartbeat which took ages to find, but she found it eventually and all was OK. I can't tell you have relieved I was (well you probably can guess!) I do feel a little silly, but I had a bad feeling and wouldn't have been able to sleep for worry. The midwives were lovely and said they have no problem with women coming if they are worried.
I'm glad I'm not the only one having bad dreams, I keep dreaming that my hubby gets arrested and sent to prison and I'm left with the baby!! I'm not normally a dreamer, but have had this dream a few times now.
Hope all ladies and bumps are OK and will keep checking back for Lucy's news this afternoon!:heart2: Newborn Thread Member :heart2:

Hope everything has gone well today lucy.
janninew, I am the same as you and constantly panicking that I haven't felt any movement, especially as last week I felt 2 strong kicks with my hand and since then nothing with my hand and only occasional kicks from stig, I was only felt better when during my scan yesterday stig was moving all over the place and I couldn't feel a thing so I guess it just depends on where they are at the time to how much you feel.
As for the boobs, mine have jumped up a cup size to a F cup and started leaking last nightand were really painful, I am wearing my maternity bra today and its a lot more comfortable so I guess I need to get a few more.
hope everyone else is feeling good today xMarrying the man of my dreams30th November 2012 :jLittle Stig due22nd February 20122012 is going to be an awesome year!!!0 -

I haven't really had any nightmares, just very odd dreams! Though your dream does remind me it was about a year ago I was on a course in Italy, staying in a really old building, and I woke in the night convinced someone was standing over me waving their hands around. Then at 5am the TV switched on by itself - it did that 2 out of the 4 nights I was there. I really didn't get much sleep on that trip!
I'm looking forward to a nice quiet night relaxing this evening. Thought we might have the in-laws for a bit longer as FiL was feeling ill, but they've been able to carry on with their holiday and drove to their next stop earlier. They are really lovely, but tiring!
Good luck Lucy!0 -
Jannine - Glad all is ok, these bubs do seem to worry us from time to time, I found the movement quite irratic to start with did make me worry but then think he is probably having a big sleep!! But do think you did the right thing though as it has put your mind at rest now.
All - this talk of baked beans and scrambled eggs!!!!! :rotfl: I have to confess to being really naughty as I am supposed to be wrapping christmas presents (but am too tired) but I have started to eat one of them though :eek::eek::eek: I guess I am going to have to buy another box of Dairy box chocolates:o!!
Hubby has finally felt mousey move, in the middle of the night mousey was kicking my belly button, so kept moving my foot whilst lying on my back which seems to keep him kicking and hubby actually felt it at last!!
Will be keeping an eye out this week to see how those with scans get on.
On the subject of nightmares they are a bit of an unfortunate side effect, have not had many but I do remember once waking up and shouting a warning to hubby who jumped about 10 feet as he was sound asleep but havent screamed at him yet but give me time :rotfl:
My birthwise DVD has arrived.........

It's not always easy,And sometimes life can be deceiving,
I'll tell you one thing, its always better when we're together0 -
