She said something like if I say its worth £200, it will cost so much and if I say its worth £220 which is what I sold it for, it would cost more so I couldn't see the point. My mistake lol

I'm a bit concerned now. The increments for extra insurance are up to £100 and up to £250, there is no difference in insuring a £200 item or a £250 item. How much did you actually pay for the insurance?

See the table below for prices of our low cost Standard Parcels service, including packages of various different weights.

    Maximum weight Price
    2kg £4.41
    4kg £7.06
    6kg £9.58
    8kg £11.74
    10kg £12.61
    20kg £14.69

    Compensation cover

We offer automatic, standard compensation cover up to the value of 100 First Class stamps for loss or damage. If you want to extend compensation cover for more valuable items, see the table below:

    Maximum compensation per parcelPrice
    £100 £1.00
    £250 £2.25
    £500£3.50

    I would say £250 compo, £2.25 plus £7.06 = £9.31.

That would be my thoughts as well. I can't make it add up otherwise.
