3 Dongle help - still billing me

I checked my credit report last night and it showed that I had a balance of £50 odd to 3. Now I cancelld my 30 day rolling contract months ago(and they billed be for two months after that) so I wrote a letter to cancel in writing and also got my bank to stop the payment (they also refunded it)

However they are reporting t equifax that I'm behind in my payments. I never informed 3 of my new address as I cancelled when moving out (I moved back home where we have broadband already)

I expect 3 are sending angry pay us letters to my old address - any idea what I should do as they obviously don't pay attention to me cancelling?

  • Send 3 a copy of your Cancellation Letter, plus the Recorded Delivery Receipt that you obtained when you sent the letter, plus even the screen grab of the Signature of the person that finally signed for the letter at 3.

Include in the letter that as they can see you sent them a letter cancelling, you gave them the required 28 days notice and having heard nothing considered the matter closed. As there's a problem with their billing department you would appreciate them writing to the Credit Reference Company and advising them that you owe them nothing. You would appreciate if they would also explain and have your credit reference file amended to that effect within the next 28 days. Also advise them that if you hear nothing within 28 days you'll consider the matter closed as you did previously, but if the amendment *isn't made to the credit reference agency you'll make the change yourself and any costs you'll pursue them for via the small claims court for. *only make the threat if you're going to follow through with it.

Then send a report to the credit reference agency explaining all of the above or as to the situation as you see it and request that they amend their file on you accordingly.

Oh yes and I would do all of the above using regular mail and using Recorded Delivery.
