Anything (well almost) reduced by 30% at the end of the day
Seriously............ I use it most weeks for many basics. Fruit and veg can be a good price, milk is cheaper, plain yoghurt is good, cold meats are great, etc etc
I don't usually buy ready meals or much that is processed, so can't comment on that. But every one should give Lidl a try and see what they like.0 -
i used to enjoy their lamb grills but i think they have stopped making them now0

Their black bin bags with pull string handles. Far cheaper than Brabantia bags and they're huge and very strong. They never tear when you take them out of a very full bin. For some reason the exact same bags in white are 50p dearer.
Their 6 pack of scourer sponges for 59p.0 -
Everything that the Germans are good at: cooked meats, cheese, cakes and biscuits, chocolate.
My only regret is that although fresh bread is very highly valued in Germany Lidl don't stock any worth buying. That says more about UK suppliers than the store.
Plus all their laundry, cleaning-products and toiletries are top-notch. My cat won't eat any dried food except the one that's £1.99 for 750 grammes0 -
German specialitites such as smoked meats, cheese and pickles. They do some good nuts, and biscuit packs too.
Staples when I go there (rarely) are chorizo, salami, pickled peppers, and gherkins. Good quality, and value.0 -

Anything that is in their weekend offers as they are usually brand names at less than half price.0

Dishwasher stuff: their salt is in the best container ever! And the luxury muesli, both varieties although we prefer the blue bag.0
-
Fresh mozzarella - usually about 49p, half the price of tesco/sainsburys
The fresh antipasti packs (olives / peppers / artichokes etc) when they have them in
Stroopwaffles (if that's how you spell them!)
Salted cashews - much better price than anywhere else, tasty too.
Clotted cream - bargain and just as tasty as rhodas0 -
Their Lasagne is to die for its lush. Plus there are chocolate sandwitch biscuits which my daughter loves plus we love their orange juice and love their bratwurst german sausages.'There are far better things ahead Than any we leave behind '0
