They are great fun and include everything you need;Trying_really_hard wrote:oooooo, this sounds like fun. I've always wanted to do a Murder Mystery and didn't realise you could actually buy the games. I thought it had to be organised at great cost at a remote stately hall.
Will look into this. Thank you.
Invitiations....characters (so people can dress up )...plot etc.
I've picked up a couple from ebay before for under £10 each.
You can get ones for different amounts of players, I've seen one for up to 12 people.
We are going to be using a pantomine one this year, and really looking forward to it.0 -
We put some wood logs on the barbecue for a nice fire and sit around it chatting all night. At midnight we watch all the fireworks going off in the neighbourhood. The only cost to us is the firewood, and a bottle of bubbly for the midnight toast.
Another nice idea is to drive up a big hill overlooking your town so you can watch all the fireworks in the town from above.

We've spent the past 16 years with our friends. The first year both my friend and I were pregnant and we have carreid on ever since. We take it in turns- one year their house, the next ours - and stay over. We try to have a theme for the evening based around the food - Indian, Russian, French, Mexican, Chinese and Spanish have all featured - and whoever's house it's at supplies the main course and the visitors the pud. Both houses supply alcohol and a fun time is had by all including silly games etc. New Years days is now traditionally the day we pile on coats, hats, gloves and wellies and all go for a lovely long walk fo a couple of hours.
Now the children are older they join us for the whole evening but when they were younger we used to bring the clocks in the house forward at say 10 o'clock, tell them it was midnight and say 'happy new year' with fizzy orange and get them off to bed!0 -
A rip off going out on NYE.
We've done the murder mystery thing which was great fun, ran through it in stages between courses and it ran through for a few hours. We've also done a casino night and a racing night. All can be bought for only a few quid. If you've never had friends round before, then something like this is ideal so people aren't just sitting wondering what they should be doing.Love MSE, Las Vegas and chocolate!0
