:(Didn't get out this morning. I am recovering from pneumonia and this was my first full week back at work, fitness classes etc, and was just shattered by the end. However I have no plans for tomorrow so will spend at least half the day getting used to my machine:D
So long as I can start it:rotfl:0 -
Don't worry. A few weeks ago, me and my mate spent a whole evening in my garage trying to start an old motorcycle I bought for £80. Between us we have over 50 years experience with motors. We tried everything. Finally we switched the kill switch from off to on and it started right up.0

Enjoy it. Just keep your wits about you and watch out for Victor Volvo pulling out in front of you because he hasn't seen you.

Hey don't feel bad, I was shouting at my car last week as it wasn't revving and the gears wouldn't engage. I'd not even put the keys in the ignition, never mind tried turning them!!
My worst embarassment re cars was not long after I passed my test. Me and my partner at the time were sharing a car and I had dropped him at work and driven to Meadowhall shopping centre about 40 miles away. Wasn't until he called me about an hour before he was due to finish asking me to pick his gym stuff up on my way to collect him did I realise that I was stood in the bus queue in my home town, after forgetting I had driven that day and gotten the coach back!!! Cost me £20 in coach fares as well as the petrol I had used!! This was 9 years ago and my family and friends still tease me about it.0 -

:rotfl:I think those big shopping centres do things to our brains. I went to Lakeside near to Christmas some years ago after work. It was nearly 10pm by the time I headed back to the carpark and my car was nowhere to be found:eek: I had no idea why anyone would want to steal a 20yr old worn out banger, but that seemed to be the case, so I started to look for a security guard to report it before calling the police etc. I found one on the next level, and just as I started telling him I saw my car - I had been on the wrong level all the time:o0 -
A friend of a relative, a police sergeant, parked up in a multi storey and went shopping. He discovered the car was missing when he came back and reported it as such.
So Lo And Behold the car was found a week later parked back in the same car park but on a different floor. The thieves had even left the coats and goodies on the back seat.
Yep, he'd forgotten which floor he had parked on!:D0 -
I bought a new car, picked it up from the garage, drove home, spent 20 minutes trying to find the off switch for the lights, drove back to the garage (just shuttting up shop) had to ask them how to turn the lights off.....
How was I to know you had to twist the end of the indicator stalk!0
