Do you actually have to pay council tax this month? I know that our annual payments are made in ten monthly instalments with February and March being payment free months.

yes because i was bankrupt last year i didnt pay any council tax and should have started paying it again in april but it took them till july to send me anything even though i phoned up almost every week trying to get it sorted, so they let me pay it july - march so i could manage as trying to do it july - january like they wanted made my payments massive

yes im booked in the smoking clinic on weds, so got some to last till then as didnt want to be buying fags for 5 days. cant do it via our gp as the run a smoking clinic so have to there, but thought ild still have to pay for the prescriptions

Hi Katy, I don't know if it's still the same now, it was about 9 years ago I tried the patches, but you used to get 4 weeks worth for the cost of a prescription.

At the time prescriptions were about £5, but buying the patches privately was about £10 per week, so worked out a quarter of the price.

Might be worth enquiring about it anyway.

You have my sympathy. I too could easily go without food if it was a choice between that and nicoteine. :o
