Which shop was it?It wasn't hmv was it?
No it was Dorothy Perkins in Cardiff - Its not my most local one so I guess they arn't used to seeing those particular cards but I used it at DP's in Newport the day before without a second glance from the staff and the fact I used it in all the other shops in Cardiff that particular day too.
There's no use me getting an NUS card now, I finish uni in 3 months time anyway....MFW 2020 #111 Offset Balance £69,394.80/ £69,595.11

I don't like the some shops insist you have a NUS card to get a student discount. You can be a student without joining the Nation Union of Students. Some people may not want to join to NUS.
Shops should call it a NUS discount if it's not available to all students.0 -
Some places will only accept them if they have an expiry date on them too that is still within date. I've had a lot of people try to use out of date student ID cards to get discounts long after they have left college/uni.
When I was at college, the ID cards where made using this little portable machine attached to a PC with a 10 year old digital camera attached. Blue Peter could of made better looking cards.0 -
A lot of places say they only accept NUS cards, New Look being one of them, however when DD went in there with her Christmas money she handed over all her purchases to her older brother who flashed his normal college student card and they discounted!
NUS is worth getting at the start of the year, I agree though with 3 months left it's not worth it now.0
