ishrav wrote:went to my local Boots store today and came back feeling like a wanted criminal!!!
I tried to use the BOGOF Foot Treats vchr with a 3 for 2 offer and bought some nappies, etc. Got to the till and the lady on it was a new SA. She scanned the BOGOF voucher and it didn't go through, i queried it and she hesitated a bit and said that i can't use it with the 3 for 2 offer.
Next thing i know the store manager came and stood next to the SA supervising the transaction. A terrible day and a horrible expreience.
How awful! I had a similar experience in Boots this afternoon. I also tried to use the BOGOF voucher on 2 georgous feet gift sets on 3 for 2 and a indulgence spa gift set. The SA said the till would not accept the voucher so she asked another SA if she knew why it wouldn't work. She said you can't use the voucher on the xmas gift sets, but it does not say that on my voucher (I printed 2 off over a week ago, not sure if the latest vouchers say you can't use them on gift sets, but mine didn't). I told the SA it does not say on my voucher that you can't use them on gift sets and it doesn't say anywhere; instore, or on the gift sets, that it is a "xmas" gift set. The supervisor came over and scrutinised my voucher, but as she couldn't find any exclusions on the voucher she (rather reluctantly) let me have the gift set free. I also bought the 31p razors and got the golden glow lotion free. However, I noticed as the SA was processing the sale a message came up on the till to retain my AC. But, She didn't notice and handed me the card. I hope I don't have my card confiscated - I have lots of points on it! I tried the AC machine afterwards to see if my card was still working - it is. Phew!0 -

Thought i was going to have a terrible night at the Shopping Evening last night, when i realised i've only gone and lost my AC, only realised the minute i was about to leave. Was worried that replacement may not turn up within the 30 days you have to add on points from validated receipts, so used my old advantage card that i have, however when i got there the ACM was giving no offers out. Wonder if its cause it was such an old card!?
However the SA was lovely, had lots of vouchers to use and thought she might get snotty but was quite happy to accept them. Was even going to add on extra points manually for the vouchers that wouldn't go through from scanning until the SA next to her pointed out that i hadn't actually bought the qualifying products! Oh well!
The Bontanic's lotion didnt work with the 31p razors as it previously had with the old style packaging, but didnt have any with the new packaging, so didnt bother in the end. Didnt realise that i could of got 2 No 7 gift bags with my No 7 gift sets, but did get 1. But had a 10% voucher which went through fine, so saved £39 in total on a £120 shop through discounts and got 3500 points! Was quite happy with that!!:ABoots Tart in Training

Check the packaging on the Time Delay stuff.. there's a money back guarantee on it, or at least there used to be when the TD/Change One Thing coupon glitch was on in January (has it really been almost a year? ).0 -
Hey, could someone give me some advice.. I was at the shopping event the other night and bought (among other stuff) 3 sets which were 3for2, two were £25 and one was £30 so i got one £25 gift free. However, the gift I bought which wa £30 does not suit who I bought it for as I jut realised the person who I had in mind does not have a bath and it is mainly bath products in the set. I do not have anyone else to buy for so the gift is no use. If i bring this item back to boots for a refund will i be able to get a refund for £30 or will I have to take back all 3 items? also.. will I lose the extra points I received from the shopping evening? Thanks in advance for your help.. hope this makes sense?! x0
