Yesterday I got a Botanics mens shaving foam reduced to 45p and got a free Face defence moisture cream.................also used my last parenting voucher of 200points on Botanics.
Sales assistant rushed over and took the last few bits of reduced stuff off the shelve. When I asked her why she said she was buying it after her shift.

Are they allowed to do that? what if a customer reports the Sa to custmer services because isn't that withholding goods and offers from customers who should be given priority?
Going in later to pick up medicine for baby niece will look out for any new offers.

also got Trevor Sorbie shampoo, paying just over £1odd after using £3 professional haircare voucher from the other day. Got another voucher to use for next time....;)

  • Hello members of my favourite MSE thread. I have a mini dilemma .... a few days ago I went and tested the water with the Botanics free moisturiser deal and managed to get two free products with the 99p body bars. I intended to buy more, but I feel sorry for the SAs in there as they never seem to get told the deals and are then quite mean when I go and cash in on the bargains. I explained the deal to them and gave them several days to take advantage themselves. I went back today to my little rural store and not a body bar was gone - so I bought eight and got eight free moisturisers.

The dilemma comes when I got home and realised that in her confusion the SA had put in an extra moisturiser - she is a harpy and makes spiky remarks about how I always manage to get all the good deals....but I don't like to think of myself as stealing from them. What should I do?

Would really like to know what you'd all do in this situation - needless to say I'm all moisturised out so I shouldn't be going back for more.

today got sugar scrub and body souffle free, but had to buy dark green body bar at £2 to get them, would be very odd indeed if body butter was the only moisturiser not to be included

I tried to get the sugar scrub free with 2 x cleansing wipes and was charged full price for it. (does the offer only work with the dark green body bar?)However, I spotted this before the SA finished the transaction, so dashed back to the Botanics shelf and grabbed 2 x night shift moisture cream @ 5.98. I was going to ask the SA to try putting the body butter through for free, but she'd already scanned the moisture cream.

I noticed on my receipt I'd received 47 *offer* points. Anyone know what this is for?

I searched high and low for the 99p Botanics bar but didn't find a single one. Tomorrow I will have a look in Boots near where I work. I also couldn't find the Enriching body cream someone here said they had got free.

I was really pleased to receive another 3.00 and 5.00 voucher:j My daughter and I both found one on the floor in Boots the other day, so keep your eyes peeled. Some customers throw them away (Men probably!) so it's always worth having a look around.

47 points refers to triple points on skincare at boots at the moment

Not your fault and its not stealing. I would personally pass it on to a womens refuge with a few other bits-im sure they would appreciate toiletries there and won't make you feel bad.Otherwise ring customer sevrices and ask their opinion.

They had loads in the Boots near my work last week. But I only noticed them as I was walking out the door and didn't have time to go back for one. I had a look yesterday and they had gone! I asked the SA where they were and she said "upstairs. We're not putting them out yet" The SA at my local branch gave me the same answer when I asked her where the mag was.
  • Its a tough one but in my experiences you are no better thought of when taking things back. As Sonee says, you did not intentially steal it (by the way, where did it come from? Did it just happen to be at the till?) so I wouldn't feel bad about keeping it. Would you really expect Sally06 to give back to Boots the coupon that she found on the floor? I certainly wouldn't! But its up to you and what you feel best doing. HTH! x
