I'm about to a acquire an iPhone 3GS 2nd hand- how to connect it?
DHs company are just upgrading him to an iPhone 4, and he can keep the iPhone 3GS :j so he says I can have it.
It's currently locked to O2. I have a Vodafone contract on my ordinary Nokia phone, contract has about 8 months to run I think. I need to keep my number, as I use it for my business.
Sooooo. Do I keep the iPhone in a drawer until my Vodafone contract ends
, then swap my number to O2.
OR is it possible to get the iPhone unlocked and use it with my Vodafone contract
OR would Vodaphone allow the balance of my contract to be switched to another number, so that I could give my phone to our son, and shift my number to O2 ??
I know there are tons of folk on here who know stuff about mobile phones, so I hope someone can help.

I try not to get too stressed out on the forum. I won't argue, i'll just leave a thread if you don't like what I say.

O2 should be able to unlock the iPhone for free. Go to https://www.o2.co.uk/unlockmyiphone I'm not sure how it works if it's a business contract, but it's worth a go, you'll probably need to enter the company details into the form rather than yours.0

Sell the iPhone, put the money in your pocket, and keep using your Nokia phone.0

A very sensible sounding option, but I would actually like the iPhone, and it would have advantages for my business.I try not to get too stressed out on the forum. I won't argue, i'll just leave a thread if you don't like what I say.
