iPhone with unlimited calls to family

Does anyone know any iPhone deals that include unlimited calls to family members?

For instance, Orange used to do Magic Numbers that gave you unlimited calls to another Orange number. Or at the moment my SIM-only tariff on Vodafone does unlimited calls to Landlines (very useful). And 3 do unlimited calls to other 3 numbers.

But I can't find anything like this on an iPhone tariff. The tariffs seem to assume people only make 300 or so minutes of calls per month and are willing to pay £45/month for it!! I make more like 5,000 mins of calls per month (mostly landlines, some mobiles, almost all to the same number) and currently pay £25/month on a SIM only tariff.

So, any suggestions for a tariff out there that might fit my requirements?

Many thanks.

As far as I'm aware Orange contracts (Iphone included) do still include magic numbers, mine certainly does.

  • T-Mobile do a family booster, which is an extra £5 a month, but you can add 4 other people on t-mobile (payg or contract) and all five of you can then talk text and pic msg unlimited between you

alternatively all T-Mob contracts come with a choice of flexible booster for free, 2 of which are unlimited landlines or unlimited t-mobile calls.

  • Orange would be great, the only problem for me is that their reception has become appalling lately. I had to change from Orange to Voda simply because the reception on Orange (bearing in mind I live in Central London!!!!) was SO bad that it was basically an unusable network for me. After 13 years, I was sad to leave them.

What about 3? Any good deals there?

    Basically my main requirements are:

    - Unlimited calls ideally to at least 1 other mobile number, otherwise unlimited calls to a landline and a decent number of mobile minutes would suffice.
    - As long as I have the above, then an additional 600mins or so cross-network time would be OK (for calls to other people). Ideally though I need more like 900 and unlimited landline. Landline calls are a biggie for me.
    - 500Mb or so of Internet, but 250Mb would probably be OK.
    - Some texts (50 would be more than enough)

Looking through the current tariffs, it reminds me of 1998. You know, when they used to advertise wild deals such as "15 mins per month inclusive minutes" and people thought it was an amazing bargain. 15 mins every couple of hours is more like my current requirement.

Right now on Voda I have for £25/month:
    - Unlimited landlines
    - 1200 cross-network mins
    - 200 texts
    - Unlimited data

This suits me perfectly. Sadly, the equivalent tariff on an iPhone is about £70! The only reason I have this tariff is because I call home a LOT. Plus misc random calls through the day for work.

Suggestions so far have been great... any more thoughts/ideas?

O2 do the Simplicity tarrif for the iPhone and you can get a friends and family bolt on for £7.50 a month.

So, unlimited any network texts and 500MB data £10 a month, then £7.50 friends and family bolt on (they must also be on O2)
    9/70lbs to lose :)

If your happy with Voda they do a Voda family add on

"Get free UK calls between you and three other people on Vodafone. One person pays £5 a month – and it’s free for everyone else. On pay as you go, Vodafone Family is one of our new Vodafone Freebees.
    • You can call each other whenever you want, day or night, and chat for up to an hour at a time.
    • Keep it in the family or bring your best friends together. It’s up to you who's part of your Vodafone Family group.
    • You can even mix and match pay as you go and pay monthly people – as long as you're all with Vodafone.
    Want a bigger group?

You can get unlimited calls between 6 people for just £7 a month. You can also change who's in your group anytime you like. Do it online or over the phone – either way, it won't cost a penny.

    How does Vodafone Family work?
    • One person pays the monthly cost which can be charged to a pay monthly bill or deducted from a pay as you go top up
    • You can set up and manage your group at any time, night or day, either through My account or by calling 34444 from your Vodafone mobile
    • Everyone in the group gets unlimited calls to everyone in the group
    • The other members of your group don't have to pay anything, just enjoy the benefits
No minimum contract length, cancel at any time. All family members or friends must also be on Vodafone. See our terms and conditions for more details."
