poor halight!
Me gotta be boyd, his bod is to die for!
Well this week has gone from bad to worse.
OH got a phone call today, he took me to sainsbugs, we had ran out of food. He's been laid off, his boss has said he'll send him his last cheque in the post. But if any work comes in he'll give him a call.
Basically they is no work out there in construction. His boss literally had three plumbing jobs all week, so thats it, back to the dole queue for us.
So were spending this weekend i think deciding whether he's goes self employed or signs on..
sorry for being all doom and gloom, :(but the eye candy cheered me up.

Afternoon all,
Very cold here this morning, man came to fix water, will be back next week to replace 2 taps in downstairs bathroom and do gutters....wish OH hadn't decided to stop doing things like this, not sure if he is really not able to do any work now or is just being lazy....change my mind about which it is depending on how cross I am with him from time to time....its costing me money that I don't want to spend!!
Had lamb with turnip and cabbage at lunchtime, lamb shanks on for later for OH, will be some left over for me to-morrow.
So sorry to be missing the Bermingham meet to-morrow, so many people I would like to meet for first time and others would like to meet again...would even take part in the dancing for all of 5 minutes! Have a good time all.
Still trying to get rid of fruit cake from Christmas, have resolved not to bake anything until its all gone...not likely to lose any weight with the chocolate that's still hanging around....when offspring were all here I was lucky to get a sweet or biscuit...was much better for me.
Taking Kerry to have her stitches out in the morning and get rid of her collar, or what's left of it, I'm hoping that she will be suitably grateful for the relief.
Hugs to all in need or want and to those MIA
Marie
Sorry to hear that news Kezlou...hope something turns up soon.Weight 08 February 86kg0 -
Rant alert :mad::mad:
Grrr, I took 2 hours off work this afternoon for the plumber to come fix the leak in my bathroom. Firstly it was a different plumber who came, and he had 2 boys with him. You can barely fit 2 in my bathroom! The new guy had been sent to re-seal the bath, but that wasn't what needed to be done. I showed the first plumber that the tiles were loose on the shower wall and these were to be fixed. After a bit of to-ing and fro-ing between both plumbers on mobile they decided they were going to re-grout the tiles.....but this meant I couldn't use shower for 5 days :eek: I don't have a bath so would mean going without! (I know I'm in Brum tomorrow/sunday but still need shower before and after, and on weekdays!). The first plumber asked to speak to me, then called me a liar re the tiles :mad: and said that if I didn't let them fix it today I would be liable for the costs (it's rented flat so not the case). I couldn't get hold of letting agent at time so I told them to go as I was feeling uncomfortable and not happy with the situation (the new plumber was ok though). Just spoken to LA and she has apologised profusely and will get back to me later today. I've told them I will not allow the first plumber back here to fix issue in future. :mad:
Rant over.
