    Good Morning All

Damp and miserable here today but I don't care as it is Friday :D its now my favourite day of the week as I don't do any hours on my 2nd job so my time is my own.

This morning I am off to the hairdressers for a much needed trim & my roots are being done. I am taking the kindle and looking forward to sitting there, drinking coffee and having a good read.

Not sure what will be doing this afternoon, think my Dad is coming over for a visit so will probably be pottering.

Can't remember what is for dinner, Asda delivery is coming any minute so will decide from there.

Thats it for me today, have a great Friday.x

Good Morning all, toothache seems to have stopped at the moment but I am still going to try and see my man Nathaniel at some point next week. He's a lovely chap, when I first went into his surgery I was a bit overcome I am 5'4" and he is at least a foot and a bit taller than me.'Hello he said 'I'm Nathaniel' and he gave me this huge smile. He is a West African and so nice.I said 'I'm not keen on dentists and a little nervous' 'Don't worry I'm not keen on them either' He is such a nice chap, and always says 'if its hurting I will stop, and give you another jab'.Whilst he is working on your teeth he has the radio on and some nice soothing music which he sings along with.He has such a great big smile for you when you go in that it makes you feel better straight away. Even my eldest DD has changed to go to him as he is so good at putting you at your ease.Probably why it takes awhile to get an appointment he is always very busy.
This afternoon I have a history class all about the civil war in the middle ages.
No shopping to do though as everything was bought yesterday.I bought some tiny bananas yesterday I think they're called Bananitos, They are in the conservatory at the moment .You are supposed to wait until they 'freckle' before eating them. I like to try something different when I go to the greengrocers and the chap said they were very good.
Right I'm off to have a cup of tea and some breakfast, probably some cereal with some sliced strawberries on top as I managed to get a small box yesterday reduced to 50p.They are Moroccan and look quite nice. The greengrocer said that folk don't seem to want to buy them at this time of the year ,at 50p a throw I bought some and had a some chopped up in a yoghurt last night for pudding and they were delicious.I'm a bit of a fruit nut I must admit.Still its better for you than all the chocolate overload at Christmas
    Have a good day everyone,
    Cheers JackieO xx

    Good Morning All.

Love Fridays:j Just caught up with the thread from yesterday
Mcculloch29 working from home as an online tutor (English) would suit me perfectly. How did you get into that?
JackieG So pleased it went well yesterday
Candygirl/Bramble We are having a real struggle financially as well. Both of us were very grumpy yesterday and I know it's because we are both worrying about money. Oh well it can only get better.
Bitsy/Taplady I wouldn't kick Colin Firth or Trevor Eve out of bed:p
JackieO Glad your tooth is feeling a bit better

Cold and frosty here as well this morning, but definitely getting lighter earlier. Roll on spring

Need to do a shop but just bits and pieces as I can't afford to do more. There is plenty of stuff in the freezer and storecupboard so will nip to Mr A for some cheap veg. I do have a bottle of Rose in the fridge which has got my name on it.

Tea will be spag bol and garlic bread tonight. I am not going to bake any goodies today as there are twinks and choc chip cookies that want eating up first. Will make bread to have with soup from the freezer tomorrow.

OH began work on DS2 room yesterday. The walls are skimmed so we can get on with the decorating this wk end

Off for a tidy arouns and a cuppa. Will catch up later.

    Have a good Friday peeps:)

  • Morning all.

DH is around for a few days. He flies off again on Sunday night.

He's done the school run today & I shall have a bath when he gets back. He can keep an eye on the baby!

Not a lot to say today I'm afraid but I thought I'd log in rather than go away for a few days

Had my divine filling yesterday....I hate dentists, I hate needles....please no more fillings.

Have had brekkie (fruit), read some of my book and made an appt to get more contraceptives. Need to do that, maybe whizz into town and drop it off, then go to a meeting at uni and then go shopping or the last time this month.

  • Morning!

You are all making me very nervous with this talk of dentists

Camelot congratulations for DS and his DF on their news! :D

esmf and Bitsy, enjoy your date nights girls ;):)

Plan for the day is dyeing my hair, possibly getting it cut if I CBA :o, going to Tesco for a couple of bits and relaxing. I have a washing to do, and some vacuuming, but that's about it I think. Dinner tonight is HM pizza for me and the boys and Calzone for the man in my life. Have good days everyone, hugs if you need them.

  • Morning all :hello:

I'm not going to work today. :o I was up until about 1am with tummy cramps and feel exhausted.

Last night was not great - we've had trouble with the in-laws and me and DH ended up having a row about it and both getting upset. :( We soon made up though. :) We very rarely fall out.

Just feel a bit bleurgh today really. I think doing some jobs around the house will make me feel better and a bit more positive. And watching Homes under the Hammer of course. :T:D

Today will be a NSD. We're going to my mum's for dinner. :) I just looked in our cupboards, freezer and fridge and think we have enough food for meals next week. Might just get some bananas, I've never heard of those small ones JackieO! I like the sound of your dentist. I have to go in Feb to a new one as my old one has retired and he was my dentist since I was little! I wonder what the new one will be like... maybe he can give me a sticker to put me at ease! ;):rotfl:

I hope everyone has a good day. :)
