What the hell is going on with o2 and their network issues

My OH is on o2 and her service keeps dropping out, calls straight to voicemail, texts not coming through and when She tries to call 6/10 She can't make a call.

Looking on o2's website their customer forums are full of people going through the same and worse.

On checking their reception checker it as i thought shows good service for both 2 and 3 G. Anyone else have the same problem?

I just had a look at their forums, there don't seem to be many people with problems. (only a handful) So I would follow the advice at status.o2.co.uk to report a fault. I expect they'll ask you to help with some fault finding.

As Techhead says check on http://status.o2.co.uk and see if there's an issue in your area.
Then check a few things;

• Does the problem exist only in one area or is it everywhere? If it's everywhere it's not a network issue, it's the SIM or the handset.
• Are other people on O2 in the area effected? Ask about, if there's other people in your area effected then there's most likely an outage.
• Again, ensure normal service resumes outwith the effected area.
• Does the SIM work okay in another handset?
• Try turning off 3G, does that help?
• Is the issue just indoors? If so you're out of luck I'm afraid.

I recommend you check them, then call O2 from within the effected area and have a landline or other mobile available for a call back so you can stay on the line with them while they make test calls and preform other tests.

MY friend runs a small building firm but i dont know how he does it as most of the times i call his o2, voicemail comes on
