I've spent more time than I should reading these threads rather than entering competitions.
So I'm not going to spent time finely crafting this so as to not cause offence - coz I really don't mean to and I appreciate everyone's efforts and respect their rights to an opinion

But how in the name of all that's Holy can you run two polls at the same time - one that asks "what is a regular" and an other that says "what shall we do with regulars" ???

Someone said that everything was fine before so let's go back - actually everything was muddling along OK but there were no clearly stated rules and definitions - hence all this

I would start with with the proposition that each competition is posted as a separate thread on the main board and then use the collective intelligence of MSErs to resolve issues people have with this, either by amending the rule or suggesting ways of working

Well, the poll looks clear to me - the majority want comps posted on the main board and a link to the regular thread (i would assume the stickies, rather than the regular board) Most comps do have an end date (very few that dont) so i dont think that complicates things too much.

In my opinion, if this is what happens, it doesnt matter what constitutes a regular comp, as long as all comps are on the main board you can have a link to whatever you want (within reason of course) in the regulars.

Agreed. Totally.
Sure a few comps will throw a spanner in the works but they can always be moved if they're in the wrong place.

I think we've all been agreed for days though really.

the last i am saying on this matter is that i think it is disgusting that some of you are using facebook and twitter and other sites to scraemonger with lies (all itv comps to go in regulars? where has that one come from?) and bully and intimidate people into giving you your own way!

id love to say im shocked but im not having been in the "bad guys" exluded group on here for a while and having seen the lengths some people will go to in order to bully without getting banned!

its disgraceful that adults behave in this way!

if thats true, then no poll will be valid. I shared a link on fb to the original Regs discussion thread, just to try and involve people.

I'm starting to think that the BGs and MSE Towers will have to just to decide things

Please lets just stop the bickering now It is clear that there is a way to post comps that is fair for everybody, lets just do that.

no korky, that one is just sour grapes because looking at the results so far its not going her way thus its time to cry cheat or rigged...same way as people do on all the facebook voting comps.

rumours are being spread via fb(i assume cause it wont be just twitter) and twitter that we/them (as in me and the few others who have dared to say we want the regs board) want all itv comps on the reg board, and that "once she is gone we can have it how we want" as just a couple of examples. course thats only whats been posted publically.
