ANRP Showing No Tax

I was pulled over by the police as ANRP showing as having no tax on car. I have tax, MOT and insurance so ok on that front.
I was warned that I may be pulled over in the next few weeks until records updated. I was told by the officer that DVLA had put a marker on the car.
I called DVLA who said no marker on car so called local force. I was told that DVLA would not have put a marker on the car and marker is just jargon.
Would I be wasting my time if I called DVLA again? What would I need to ask? I obviously didn't ask the right question when I called up before.
I am legal tax, MOT and insurance wise but would rather not be picked up on ANRP if I can help it.

It's actually ANPR - Automatic Number Plate Recognition and not ANRP as you called it. Regardless, I personally wouldn't worry. If you're all legal then I'm sure that the system will be updated in short order. If you're still getting pulled in a week or two then I would begin to persue it.0

How did you pay for the tax? Cheque? Late paying or buying?
Have you checked payment actually went through and not declined or rejected?
Last thing you want is your car to be clamped or towed.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
I agree, check the payment has gone through, I assume you have the disc??, otherwise the cops would have pursued it. That done ignore it for a feww weeks.I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)
Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed0 -

But this is the problem. The system should be updated when the new disc is dispatched/paid for so there shold be no time lag.
Can only hope it is an isolated error and not another problem cropping up at the dvla.0 -

Question still remains; "is the op in possesion of the tax disc?"
Yes it can be annoying, I was pulled by a motorway patrol anpr car as my car showed no insurance inspite of being at least 6 months into the years policy. It never happened again, I guess someone somewhere pressed the button eventually;)I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Have you recently had an accident or recently purchased the car? My car was a category 3 write off, which ment I had to get a new MOT and a VIC check done. I was still insured but only third party until they had the new MOT Certificate and the VIC Check done.0

It does take about a week for the database to be updated if there is a gap, between tax discs, even if the gap was only a day or so.
My wife got pulled when dribing her car a few years ago, as the Police where behind her and noticed that a male was the insured driver and obviously she was female.
The wife phoned me in a panic, but it was simply a delay in the MIB being updated and I gave the Police Officer the policy number for him to check. All sorted out in 5 minutes and no apology required, I would rather they stopped everybody three times a day just to be sure as uninsured drivers are the scum of the earth.0 -
This happened to my brother a few years ago . It turned out to be a dishonest postal counter staff worker . If people were paying cash for the disc, giving out the tax disc and keeping the cash for themselves.0

Goto Vehicle Enquiry and check the expiry of your tax disc by doing a vehicle enquiry this will tell you when the last disc expired.
Then contact DVLA and ask them to check their records for the purchase and update the file.
It happened to me 4 years ago, I bought a disc at the local DVLA office for 12 months, it was keyed in as for 3 months. No renewal came. Vehicle was marked as unlicenced and removed.0 -

Should also add, the car was SORN from September to end of December (last year), I assume that may have something to do with it?0
