Home phone and broadband?

hey all
We have just switched to Post Office for the phone and broadband, and had nothing but constant problems! from failure to connect the broadband, to out right lies from them. So in the process of terminating the contract. So were after some ideas on who to go to.
Ideally would be reasonably price, unlimited downloads etc would be used constantly so needs to be good speeds!
We keep searching, reading reviews and nothing comes up as being very good!
Plus Net seemed good till we checked the reviews and found very few actually happy!
any suggestions would be appreciated
